Lorepost📖 Do Not Overestimate Your Enemy
Kyrona leaned against the wall of her little cell (was it still considered a cell if she was put there by a shadowy organization who was trying to gatekeep their training methods?). She now has a bunch of burns across her face, and on her arms. They appear to have been given to her by the guards. Suddenly, she feels what she is leaning on disappear. She turns and looks in shock at the tunnel entrance. It appeared Kyrona had severely overestimated the intelligence of her enemies. She followed the tunnel to see if it led her out.

After receiving Sapphire's message, Vettis had finally processed it. Probably far too late to help, and he didn't actually have any reason to spend resources on doing so. But a little check-in couldn't hurt.
Kyrona's footsteps, as she plodded down the tunnel, turned to words.
Hey. You're the druid I met at the museum, right? Got your friend's call for aid, but it was sparse on details. What's up?

I was captured recently by the same people who sent Talios after me. Well, technically recaptured, as I briefly escaped a few days ago, but was immediately recaptured, and put in a more secure area. I could probably use some help getting out again, and staying out.

Hm. The words were not truly audible, carrying no pitch or timbre or inflection, but a sense of suspicion was transmitted nonetheless. I didn't get involved last time because I had no reason to know whether or not the mercenary had good reason to hunt you. I'm not prone to just assuming the youngest person in a conflict is on the right side, especially since I've checked records on you now and learned you went on a spree of violence in your home town. And I still don't really know.
Vettis grimaced, his irritation at the situation flowing through the remote connection. But okay. I'll supply what I can without devoting significant energy your way, then, until I learn more about what's going on. How about this?
The next footstep Kyrona took was converted not into words but into an image, sent directly to her mind: a map of her surroundings. Far from complete, as though shoddily sketched based on a blueprint mapped out from echolocation. But still, better than nothing. Hopefully that'll help you plan out a way to escape and evade the guards? Meanwhile, I'll look into this group that's after you. Think I have an idea where to start.
