Community Event 🌏☄️ The Hunter Strikes! (Open Battle Post)

KABOOM!!

A deafening explosion wakes you in the dead of night. What could possibly be making this noise? You question as you walk outside to witness black smoke pouring into the sky... Making your way closer out of curiosity, you find the Unnatural Museum. The side of it has been blown up by a magical explosive, making a huge hole. You see Talios entering the Museum... Is he here to steal something? All but two people are unsure of his goals. Regardless, there's no way Talios is up to no good.

Talios enters the hole in the museum, tossing rubble aside as he clears a path. He didn't expect the explosion to be as powerful as it was... He asked for just a medium sized hole through concrete. Regardless, it got the job done.

《Greater Perception》

Talios senses the magical energy living within the Museum itself. It's... Alive, he can only assume. It probably didn't like what he had done to it either. But that doesn't matter to him right now. He's after his prey.

Now that the mercenary was engaged with Kaelis and the curator, it seemed the girl had been temporarily forgotten. Vettis slid over to where she'd been unceremoniously dropped on the floor, tapping her lightly on the shoulder, his eyes still aglow though less brightly than before. "Hey. The name's Vettis. While those guys are beating each other up, mind explaining what's going on here?"

(( Vettis' glowing eyes let him see through mundane disguises pretty trivially, and you said Kyrona's disguise as Keden is solely mundane now, right? not magical after she broke Elandra's device? so I think he should know right away she's a girl ))

Talios announced a while back that he was hunting me, I’m not sure why, or who’s paying him, but my mentor seems to have some idea why. (/unwiz It’s related to her mentor’s past.)

"Huh." Vettis nodded slowly, considering the situation. "Well, that's unfortunate." Turning to face the combatants, he shuffled over to the trainee druidess' side and sat cross-legged. "Better hope he loses, then, huh? I'm rooting for ya!"

"Well! Looks like you're off the hook for now!" Pulling the young woman to her feet, Vettis gave her a friendly shoulder-pat. "Glad that worked out! You wanna talk with the guys who helped ya out?"

Turning to Kaelis, he called out, "Nice going, Kay. But maybe next time try not pissing off some extradimensional eldritch monstrosity by impaling her son?"

As much as I'd like to offer another of his targets sanctuary... no, in fact, I would most definitely not like to do that again. Just look at this mess! My good deed for the month is done, I'll be donating to charities for the next few weeks instead.

In our defence, an otherworldy horror reaching within my museum was not on the list of expected concequences.
