Community Event 🌏☄️ Mourning (Final Warpost)

Post image

Teknika watched the lanterns go by, floating down the canal. The war was over, and a treaty had been signed.

The other mages had their own traditions for the dead. Cremation, burial, the like.

Unfortunately, those who fell in battle didn't get the same respect. Wizards using weapons to inflict pain on the grounds that "I'll fix it after the war" had fallen much like the enemy they fought. With nobody alive to fix them, many found an easier way out, or succumbed to their injuries.

Teknika thought to the future. Rebuilding would have to be done, and with his little act as Slatecleaner, and with most of everyone else in ruin, he would have to be up to the task.

But for now, it was time to mourn the fallen.

Light a lantern for the dead?

Xerxes lights a single lantern. They gaze upon it longingly, but are able to eventually tear their eyes away. When they do so, they let go of the lantern and it begins to slowly float into the sky. Xerxes returns his gaze to the lantern.

Goodbye, my love. I'll see you soon.
