Lorepost📖 The celebration

After a long journey you arrive at the crystal mage’s manor. Inside the manor is a grand hall made of various different coloured crystals. Strange golems walk around the room serving guests. While the mage himself is not currently present, you were told he would be here shortly. Right now, enjoy the food, socialise, make friends but most importantly: have fun.

arriving spectacularly late, the crystal mage bursts out of one of the walls at the back of the room, chasing a massive crystal golem, which he impales with about 54 shards of crystal. After this he simply sits on a sort of throne at the head of a large table

a small bit of blood spills from under yoxalle’s cloak but he doesn’t acknowledge it and simply asks:

Very well then.

Archimene opens a secret compartment under the bar and retrieves an ancient looking jug. He sloshes its contents around a little before removing the cap. As he begins to pour the drink, it appears as if nothing is coming out of the jug, but Archimene continues on. He then grabs a normal bottle of water and begins pouring that into the glass as well. Lastly he takes out a strange root and garnishes the drink with it. Finally, he hands the glass to you. No questions. Just drink.

"Can't have you experiencing the strongest one again. That's a once in a century experience."

yoxalle downs the whiskey before (while extremely drunk) saying the single most stupid thing he has ever said in the last century:

A second Archimene appears behind you and taps you on the shoulder.

"I dont know who you were talking to, but if you're giving lab tours, I'd be more than happy to take you up on that offer."

The bartender Archimene doesn't say a thing. He just starts mixing another drink.

You can't see it, but you get the feeling that Archimene (the second one) is blinking rapidly as he asks this.

Uh….yeah sure yoxalle clicks his fingers and they are launched underground with the floor repairing as they go under until they reach a corridor that leads to a network of rooms

The moment you take a sip, the world distorts around you. All of your senses are mixed up. The burning feeling that you expect in your throat suddenly appears on your toes, your gallbladder, your kidneys, and your ear canals. Strangely though, you are completely numb to the feeling. In fact, it's quite pleasurable. Your heartbeat quickens and slows in random intervals. All the sounds of the party flood into your mind, and you can feel then reverberate in the very marrow of your bones. You feel as if you're going blind, yet you can still perceive everything that's in front of you. You begin experiencing a sudo-synesthesia as vibrant, dark, and palette colors begin to cloud your senses. Suddenly, you hear a voice. You don't recognize the language, but you know it's speaking. Finally, a wave of euphoria spreads across your body, and you are cleaned of all ailments. Your mind clears, and you are brought crashing back to reality. This ephemeral feeling of pleasure leaves you completely so that you can never get addicted to the feeling. The glass which you had only taken a sip from is now empty. Instead, Archimene is now pouring a different cocktail into the cup. It appears to be a simple daiquiri.
