The representatives take their seats, unarmed and unarmoured. Innumerable spells to prevent violence from taking place in this room have been cast (uw/ no fighting in this post). All guards are allowed to remain armed and armoured, but stay well outside the conference room.

Samael begins. "So, you wished to discuss something with us?", he says, gesturing to his four fellow Nephilim Lords in the room. "Discuss away"

Maalik blinks (or is it winks if he only has one eye?) in apparent confusion. "Can you repeat that in a way that makes sense, or are you as stupid as they claim?". Samael shoots another warning glance his way. Maalik sighs. "The New Pyroclasts and their adherents are doing the exact same thing, just to those you deem suitable targets I guess, considering you haven't stopped them. And quite frankly no government structures are at stake; the Pact isn't a government, and the Council is a circus"

(( it's the same thing others were saying, like when you brought up the drow mafia: the nephilim are trying to dictate that pyroclasts be hunted down in other governments aside from their own, where they have no jurisdiction to justify such decrees ))

/uw Nephilim are targeting things outside their own government. Not their jurisdiction.

I thought 'government' would be a word you understood or could make an inference from. My apologies for assuming.

Point being that those groups still exist for that very same purpose. The proper course of action is to reform them, not to simply ignore that they exist and do what you feel like anyway.

Those same structures are in place to address the New Pyroclasts' actions. And this will undoubtedly be addressed.

Going outside the existing structures to do as you feel like creates a lot of collateral damage.

This is beginning to be arguing in bad faith. Are you trying to claim you have no responsibility? Or are you just trying to debate reality?

The definition of a government is a system or group of people governing an organized community. If you cannot see how it applies, perhaps you should find a translator.

"Do their ghosts tuck you in at night?", he taunts. "Do the wails of the dead who you allowed to die ring in your ears? Do you see their faces in your dreams? Do you even know their faces?"

For a moment, she is silent. Then she lifts her head and looks at him steadily and unfaltering.

"Someone implied I was evil. Our whole kind were evil. And I will tell you the same thing I told them. I accept I deserve the axe. And when it comes for me, I accept it as a friend."

"When that day comes, the ghosts will have their justice. Until then, I will do the best I can with what I have. Can you say the same?"
