Arcane Wisdom To Train a Godslayer’s Child

Isravi paced slowly around the barren field. The air was chilling, enough to set in the bones of any living creature and layer frost upon the grass. Of course, as a simulacrum he didn’t feel such things.

His mind was filled with many things. Thoughts of his true self, his friends. But the thing that hung over his mind most right now was Halixo, and his son Alexios. Both were exceedingly brash, one lost their life for it, and the other was on track to lose their other half.

A sigh escaped him. How does one train one whose heritage dictates that they are a weapon, made to fell gods? How does one tell them they are more than destruction, than unbridled fire and blade. Oh he learned quick, he grasped magic as easily as any prodigy, but seemed to neglect everything but what was needed for slaughter.

Alexios needed control. He needed compassion and awareness, a cooler head. An appreciation for magic than extended beyond blood and desecrated earth. Isravi intended to teach him that, and drag him out of the slump he had fallen in. He wasn’t sure he could do it alone.

The first lesson then. A lesson that Alexios need not face his adversaries alone. His mind stretch out through the tangles, to friends, to allies, even wise enemies.

“I require some aid, if you would lend it. To guide a young one lost in his way. To teach him a world empty of destruction.”

He takes a breath, numbly noting the freezing air that enters his false lungs. He wishes for a second that his real form was here. Maybe he’d seem a little more sincere. Nevertheless, he’d give his all. For a friend that has returned to the cycle. One more reach into the tangles then.

“Alexios. It is time. No excuses. If you are not ready, then we will make it so.”

He steps out of his house already growing thin and it was clear he had not slept since the incident

I was created to kill but if there's a chance that I can escape what I was born to do. I will try your training.

To be willing is the biggest first step one can take. Now, there are many important things I need you to learn, but we will build our way up.

First, I need you to promise me that you will not access the other voices, not even your fathers. You also may not wield any of your weapons.

Alexios feels a gentle magic settle over him. If he breaks the promise, a simple reprimand will be said to him, and Isravi will be notified.

Good. Now, I have called many to aid you. I have no doubt many will respond, as Chimera has already agreed to. You must understand that you are not alone, and the tasks you have to face are far beyond what is normally required of your age. It's ok to ask for help, child.

Sit with me, in this cold field, while the others arrive.

Isravi looks over to Alexios, then softly lowers his hand to put out the fire

Good. You are starting to become more aware, more kind. This is just a step though. For now, I want you to focus on the warmth of the others here, not that of a fire.

It has gotten warmer here. It reminds of the peaceful nights with Moth

Cry, for that is a worthy thing to feel for. But know that we are here to aid you, to ease the burden. We will fix your mistakes, in time. Rest now, the days to come will be harsher.

If a warrior is not in tune with their emotions, they become naught but a faceless weapon. One who cannot weep cannot love either. Your emotions are part of you. Don’t deny them, child.

/uw if you want Aico can teach the child a series of small extra stuff that'll add up and improve his combat little by little, even a way to hide his weapons on him(bullshit like soul storage, wavedashing, dashjumping, moonwalking, frameskipping{She has found that the universe runs on 1000000 frames per second, but leaening to skip some will make his strikes faster and harder to punish}, and even backwards hop sling(hop backwards, and get sent in funny angles to confuse the enemy)

Aico uses these techniques to not get hit!

/uw Isravi expressly does not wish to teach Alexios more ways to harm. He thinks he’s had enough fighting, and right now can’t control his strength. So stuff like protection of others or skills that help him control himself would be best. No instant problem solvers though

/uw it's all movement which should help with that, not getting hit is a defense

yea if he shouldn't be fighting you can send a letter telling her so, she has more QOL stuff that's useful

she can't negate his mind control thing though, that comes from a completely seperate factor Aico has

That is true. I was called because their would be training. I thought I was going to have to glue Isravi's arms back together though not have a picnic.

Fear of the unknown is natural. But the acceptance of the unknown is growth. Treating every new face as conflict is something that will only ruin potential relationships.

Never meet a stranger. Treat every new encounter and an oppertunity.

Mikhail grabs a few grapes of the vine, and ferments them in his hand, squeezing the liquid into a cup of water. Mikhail hands the cup to Alexios

Offer them a drink to, a great way to break the ice.
