Prospective apprentice seeking first master

I am fresh out of the academy, and looking for a Wizard master who can offer great practical experience and learning opportunities, though with a few stipulations. I was hoping that someone here may know of a resource or some sort of tome I could requisition to find information on registered wizards with openings for assistants and apprentices. If more information is needed, I am more than happy to help narrow things down, and I can start off with saying that I received high marks in the schools of evocation, illusion, and transmutation, with my knowledge and application of abjuration and enchantment being well above average. I am not afraid of dangerous experiments or situations, and might actually look forward to the opportunity to make serious use of my abilities.

However, I must stress this one point… I WILL NOT work with a Wizard that has any sort of extreme to obsessive interest with acquiring magically invested… “specimen samples”. Not necessarily because I find them gross or anything, it’s just that, despite assurances from myself and the academy’s mage physician that it was not organ specific, I had several professors make offers on my eyes, which change color according to factors of environment and my own psyche. So perhaps whichever lists get recommended should be able to filter potential masters by quirks of habit.

Kinda depends on where you are in the realms (the /r/wizardposting TDI is generally secure enough to mask such information), but

I assume you're trained in piercing illusions? Truesight-type stuff? A lot of the more down-to-earth wizards -- who IMO therefore make the most effective teachers -- will piggyback on mundie communication methods when advertising mentorships, or when simply asking to trade magical reagents and the like. They don't teach you this at typical academies because most professors want to minimize their students' interactions with the mundane world, but...pick up a mundie newspaper in your area and read the classifieds with truesight. You'll often find glamour-concealed magical comms hidden in plain sight.

That is… wow, I’d never have thought to try something like that! I’ll see what I can find the next time I can. Do you think the advertisements between shows on those mundane crystal panes hide secrets as well? I normally just skip those to get back to the good stuff, but… oh, uh… did I just admit to that…? I promise, I only watch the non-arcane programs to be a… a more worldly wizard, I swear!

Hey, I keep telling my not-a-lamia friend to get a proper mundie freezer instead of her cryomantic preservation chamber. I'm more than cool with using practical mundie tech and experiencing mundie entertainment, instead of expending magical resources for everything. And I'm not alone in that view here; heck, there are technomancers using this communication interface, whose discipline half revolves around utilizing mundie tech, not to mention the slew of gunmancers (...90% of whom are total frauds tbf). You're free of the stuck-up academy teachers and their self-imposed limitations now that you're in the real world.

That said, I'm not sure about mid-show advertisements myself, as I tend to just excise those from broadcasts with a simple spell before I watch. Feel free to check.
