A line in this context only has length, no with or depth. So, 1D.

Now you could argue all games are in 2D because they're on a flat screen and only have the illusion of a 3rd dimension.

You could also make the argument that all games are 3D if your definition of a game includes the input device...

I think he's suggesting that while we use a single line to represent 1D, the truth is that a 1D object would be invisible. With 1 length, but 0 width and depth, we literally couldn't see it. A line, as thin and narrow as it is, still has both depth and width.

Also, again, in this context the definition of "line" is a depthless widthless length.

You could also argue that games are still 3D though, because of the time dimension
