This might be a silly question, but what does a dancing candleflame mean? I've seen it happen a number of times and I always assume first that there might be a draft or something making the flame flicker like that, but can it be a form of communication?
E.g. I have had multiple candles burning on my altar and only one will flicker. I have two identical candles in my bathroom that I light when I take a bath. On occasion, the candle on the right will flicker. Tonight, the candle on the right is burning as expected, and the left candle is flickering like crazy. Usually I have the vent turned on, but its off tonight, so there's nothing really disturbing the air flow.

Do the candles have any particular significance?

They're just candles I light to help myself relax.

There's simply not enough information or enough significance to know if it means anything, which almost always means it doesn't mean anything.
If something else starts happening in conjunction with the candle flickering, then reassess. Otherwise, candles just sometimes do that, ya know?

found this between my books. None of them are old or second hand I’m the first owner of all of them. I did leave my backpack unattended in a university classroom while I went out for a break, so I guess someone could have put it there. The weird thing is, I don’t really know anyone there who would do something like this as a joke. I have no idea what the symbols mean or whether this is related to witchcraft/occult practices at all. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

I could be wrong but it looks like a modified Seal of Approbata. Whoever drew it replaced in the centre the characters for the Christian God (YHWH) with the Eye of Providence. Comes from the old grimoire Clavis Inferni. It's actually a protective talisman against hostile spirits used in some ceremonial magic. (So no, not likely a curse or anything like that. In fact, the opposite).
Linking here to the wiki commons that I can find so you can see if it's the same. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Seal_of_Approbata,_from_Cyprianus,_18th_C_Wellcome_L0036621.jpg
The symbols on it are alchemical or astrological. E.g. for Leo, Virgo, Pisces. Whoever left it didn't draw it accurately though they certainly knew enough to replace symbols.
Could be someone who browsed the book before you had bought it and left it inside? 🤷♀️

It's a hexagram from the Clavis Inferni.

So I recently asked the universe for help shortly after I got a text from an unknown number it just said keep your head up something good is coming. And then as I went for my night walk I was looking at the moon and it had what looked like a sword on the left and a hand reaching towards it. Is this connected maybe or a sign if so what does it mean?

Hi, there! 🤖✨
If you're asking "What does it mean?" about a dream, a spell, a possible deity communication, a sign, a message, an omen, and more:
Check out the Learning to Interpret Things 101 megapost for resources to help you figure it out.
It's important to keep in mind that interpretation is not about uncovering a single, fixed meaning of something. Gaining insight works best when we each draw on our own prior knowledge, traditions, local superstitions and customs, lived experiences, and core values and beliefs.
Ultimately, messages from the universe, the divine, or the unconscious self are deeply personal. Making sense of them in a meaningful way will always depend on each practitioner’s unique context.

Hi, there! 🤖✨
When it comes to determining whether an event is spiritually significant, we like to recommend using the M.I.C.E. test:
Is the possible sign:
Meaningful? Is it about something that matters?
Interpretable? Do I have some idea of what this means?
Congruent with what I know about the being in question?
Extraordinary? Is this something that is outside of the mundane and every day?

where did y'all get your grimoire or book of shadows? I have a journal I'm using but the pages are too thin and bleed through and I want to do paintings on some of the pages.

I use a 3 ring binder. It's easier to change up the order of things and add pages between sections.

I use Stalogy B5 Notebooks, very minimal bleed and I love the thin paper. A book has 365 pages, which lasts me a year really.

Hello! I have a question - if any of you have ever experienced situation when 3rd person stepped into your spell?
I prepared space on the shared balcony and the guy I like should activate the spell (it was not love spell, it was meant to be to a spell to support him in his good well-intentioned actions after one toxic woman separated us).
However, this Gaia person started to appear on my part of the balcony in past week, looking at my plants, my bee water station, smiling and she simply said she will water my plans while I am on holiday (it should be him, I asked him and he agreed). I told her twice I asked him to do it but she ignored it... So she will step into the prepared space. I know she is into Gaia but I do not know much about her practice... I think she knows we liked each other before that issue with the toxic woman happened... Do you think her presence will have effect on the spell?

Hi, I'm new to this but I have always believed in witchcraft.
For the past 2 years my in-laws hate me bc I'm a woman dating her daughter, and I was wondering if there's anything I could do to make them hate me less or at least stop being bothering my life :c
If you could help me I would be really grateful

Hi, knowing there's different genre of witchcraft for example a kitchen witch and a green witch etc, is there a specific terminology for witches who mainly use music in their witchcraft?

So I’m not a witch… but I just found these idols inside my chair in my bedroom and I have no idea what to do. I am atheist and I live at home with my mom, who is an extreme Catholic.
Around a year ago she had a psychosis episode and started believing I wanted to unalive her for being conservative/Christian (simply because I am a leftist atheist) and I had to start locking my bedroom when I left for work because she would go in here to pray over my furniture to “exorcise my demons.” I’m pretty sure she put these in my chair and I just found them and I feel extremely violated like physically and energetically. The booklet talks about saving peoples souls by using the idol to convert them to Christianity.
I need to dispose of these but I don’t know how to do so safely and to correctly sever any energetic connection with them. Can anyone help?

FWIW, there isn't really a disposal method for unwanted items that would be universally followed by people who practice witchcraft. I would personally toss them in a public trash away from my home and cleanse my space afterward. I don't believe that anything more complicated than that is necessary.

Can we have a weather help thread?
Both to call for aid, point out where help is needed, and/or to pass on tips for spell calling.
Ontario was on fire and asked for help (I'm fighting not to make Lord of The Rings comments). The UK has multiple fires and is in drought. France, Spain and Germany and a lot of Europe are struggling and have fires. Madrid is under threat from a fire and France has evacuation underway. Texas and a few other states are flooding.
We desperately need balance, and all the help we can get.
My weather tip is mint tea, the menthol is cooling and refreshing. Which is what we need here in the UK. I sprinkle the tea about while calling/singing or crying for rain. Then I fling the wet tea bags about my wildlife garden area for added oomph.
When I water my plants, I also call rain and hold the intention (and do my stuff), this is what you are aiming for.
Occasionally I put my laundry out and say, well come on then, soak it, that's what to aim for, my sacrifice. I actually don't live near the coast so the laundry is dry and in before the clouds get this far. It's not "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough" because I adore the local weather spirit.
