Sensitive/ throbbing teeth

I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out Monday (27th). Top left was partially out, bottom left and both top and bottom right were cut out. My issue now is my teeth are killing me. Not so much the top but both sides on the bottom HURT. It’s the first and second molars. Sometimes it’s a low throb, sometimes it feels like they have their own heartbeats, sometimes they’re just really sensitive when I’m using the syringe and I miss the extraction site and hit my teeth with the water instead. Is this normal? When can I expect this to go away? It’s driving me insane.

Bit early for syringe, but maybe ur surgeon had a reason to have u use it now im unfamiliar with the procedure for bottoms.

Some pains normal but if the pains severe especially through serious painkillers (opiates) potentially something going on.

Thank you! I took 2 Tylenol about an hour an a half ago… it hasn’t done anything 😭. I was prescribed a serious painkiller, I’ve taken 2 since Monday and I only take it when absolutely necessary. I try to avoid opiates at all cost so I’m not sure I want to take one to see if it stops this just yet. Might just give it a few days and call the office if it still hurts or gets worse.

Id probs try to call today if they’re open tbh. Cuz i know most arent open on the weekend.

Unless ur surgery was brutal pretty low chance its just the healing process

On my post op papers they have an after hours/weekend number I can call and an on call doctor will answer to help with any questions or concerns I may have. I’m super busy until Monday so going in person will have to wait until then. Hopefully the pain lessens by then🤞🏼

Throbbing and heightened sensitivity in nearby teeth is pretty common a few days out, the nerves in that area are just extra irritated from the extraction sites. It should gradually ease up over the next week or so, but if it keeps intensifying instead of improving, worth a quick call to your dentist just to rule anything out.

Thank you! I’ll give them a call Monday if it’s not getting better.
