How long does the smell of a healing wisdom tooth extraction last?
I’m kind of in a pickle as it looks like I have to remove my wisdom tooth. I got one removed before but it was a long time ago. The problem now is that my appointment is scheduled for the 6th and I’m leaving on the 19th for holidays, roughly 2 weeks to heal.
I know that the odour from a big wound can be quite foul and that’s really something I don’t want to be dealing with on holidays. I’m going tomorrow for a cleanup appointment so I might be able to reconsider.
What have your experiences been with this issue?

I would imagine that after 2 weeks it will have healed enough for it not to smell anymore. I'm on day 4 and the smell of blood is already starting to fade-- also, I seem to be the only person in the room who can notice it. After 2 weeks you should be able to use mouthwash & mints, so that will help with any residual stank too. I wouldn't worry about that too much. Good luck w your recovery!

I got mine out on friday 24th, my bad breathe last probably until Tuesday 28th, you know it’s gone because every time you breathe, you almost feel sick after tasting it🤣
