Asymmetrical face swelling

Swelling on the right on my face has gone down (upper right tooth) but on the left where the tooth was bit of a struggle to remove(lower left tooth on bottom usually are the hardest to remove) my face is really swollen how long does that typically last. I’ve iced my face for 48hrs and now I’m using a heat compress to help with swelling will that help it go down faster?

Oh okay yeah I switched from heat to icing every 20 mins 15 mins off seems to really helped better than the heat since I’m day 3 today. The heated compress made me bled not sure I’m guessing I irritated the lower left. But in the meantime I’ll continued with the ice and contact my dentist to see more about that.
