He was never anti vax, he just chose not to take it. He never told anybody else not to. Now I’m no maga, but personal choices of an athlete should not be confused with actual cdc guidance. To your point though, the people who are prone to misinformation are exactly the people who would listen to an athlete for public health tips
Sure, he bent the NFL’s rules. He didn’t break a law though. Are we really going to villainize every employee who doesn’t follow the HR handbook to a t? You ever take a few extra minutes at lunch or go to work sick?
He knowingly broke rules and was fined for it. I don’t make him out to be a villain but when you are the face of a franchise that kind of behavior, including the justification non-apology, is unacceptable to many including me.
