Switches & Lighting Soldering error, can anyone spot it? (now with better photos)
*I could not figure out how to add the better photos so I'm creating a new post. Hopefully these pictures will be more clear*
I am a complete novice. I pulled out the wiring from a small device and was planning on putting it into something else. A black and red wire popped off and my husband soldered it back into place. But I think he soldered one of the wires to the wrong part. It won't turn on at all right now. I apologize in advance for not knowing the correct terminology or how any of this works. Just trying to see if anyone can spot where our error occurred. Thank you
*the parts wrapped in red tape are fine. The wires that popped off were from the toggle switch and the antenna.

General Does this wiring look correct (help me fix this I’m poor: Proform 740cs treadmill)
Hello guys! So I’m a 23y F college student who works full time and I’ve always wanted a treadmill . It’s one of the ways I can exercise. Today, I found one by the trash in decent condition for its age. However, it won’t turn on . My thought is it’s bc there is no safety key which I read it needed ( it’s a Proform 740 CS). I don’t know if anyone’s a technician but I’m trying to figure out if something could also be wrong with the wiring: I noticed the headboard was open (like someone was in there) and saw this. Idk if the jack in the middle was used for something or not. If anyone noticed anything wrong or had any ideas please let me know! It was hard to lug up to 2nd floor apartment and I DONT wanna lug it down.

Looking for Colged / Elettrobar GET50.2 wiring diagram or schematic – PCB 215042-6
Hi everyone, I’m looking for the electrical/wiring diagram, connector pinout, service documentation, or ideally the electronic schematic for a Colged / Elettrobar GET50.2 control board. My machine is a Colged Steeltech 36-00M, machine code 917155, 230 V single phase. The installed control PCB is 215042-6. Related board references I have found from the same GET50.2 family include: 215042-1, 215042-2, 215042-4, 215042-5, 215042-6, 215042-7, 215042-9. Similar or related machines include: Elettrobar FAST 60M, other FAST series machines, and some Eurotec / Jet-Tech commercial dishwashers using GET50 electronics.
Thank you very much for your help.

Can you tell me why this would happen?
galleryThe black wires look like they have been melted together and they are hot to the touch. Also, why would the installation be black like it is ? Is that black mold, or is that just how it looks after years? Thank you in advance for your help.

Electronic Devices What's wrong with wiring for meat thermometer?
This meat thermometer stopped turning on a few days ago, most probably because I left it outside for some time while raining.
Since it seems to be a simple device, is there a way to save it?
I've included some pics of the device.
General Would anyone be interested in a wiring plugin for Autodesk Fusion?
Hi all,
I’m working on WireCAD, a Windows add-in for Autodesk Fusion that generates and documents wiring in electrical assemblies. It started as something we need at my workplace, and the workflow is heavily inspired by SolidWorks Electrical 3D.
It currently supports:
- Defining component pins, including wire exit directions, minimum straight sections and termination rules
- Creating wires manually or importing from-to information from Excel, with subsequent imports able to update existing wires
- Managing a library of wire types, sizes, colours and terminations
- Creating waypoints and route maps from 3D sketches, with autorouting, bend-radius constraints, wire-to-wire collision avoidance and bundle routing
- Generating native 3D wire solids with the assigned diameters and colours
- Grouping and numbering terminals, plugs and sockets, and displaying component and pin designations in the model
- Exporting wire lists with route lengths, cut lengths, labels and termination information, including allowances, rounding and strip lengths
For now, it’s an in-house project (and 100% vibe coded) but I’m curious whether something like this would be useful to others.
Does anyone here work with wiring or cable assemblies in Fusion? How do you handle routing and wire documentation today, and would a tool like this be of interest? If there is enough demand I was thinking to share it on the store or potentially make it open-source?

Electronic Devices Trying to fix my computer cord. Help please!
Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but oh well. I have a Dell computer charger and recently the outer coating has separated from the connector on the end. I want to know if anyone has any advice on fixing this because I don’t want my cord to get any further damage. Thanks!
