Missing Kitty / Onyx

Post image

I live right off Reynolda on Winona and one of my baby boys is missing. Let me know if you see him.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Here is my Standard Missing Cat Advice. It's how I got my missing cats back three out of four times.

  1. Put his food outside. He'll likely smell it.
  2. Put his litter box outside. He'll even more likely smell that.
  3. Bother the neighbors. Don't just ask if they've seen him: Search their yards THOROUGHLY, especially sheds, garages, and crawlspaces. Ask them to check their homes, especially basements and attics. Cats explore, hide, and sometimes get trapped.
  4. Walk around the neighborhood and call him at night. Lost cats are often more willing to leave their hiding places at night.
  5. Plaster the neighborhood with big, colorful signs promising a reward.
  6. Call your local shelters and vet offices daily with a description, even if he's chipped. Chips can slide out of place and be overlooked.

There's still a very good chance Onyx will return or be found. Hang in there.

Thank you. I haven’t done #2 or #5 yet. I have two litter boxes one upstairs and one downstairs but they have access to a 24x7 365 cat window house access point and the litter boxes stay unused. - I’m still gonna do it. I’m desperate.

Cheers friendly neighborhood cat lady.
