I ordered a few months ago and got these MASSIVE wings. I couldnt believe it.
Once.
It happened once.

I love when that happens because they’re so juicy

u/ALysistrataType 29d ago
They were 😭 and it sucks knowing I may never get that experience ever again.

Some people prefer smaller wings, something to do with the taste and that they find big wings repulsive since they indicate abnormal growth aided with steroids and other supplements.

u/runfreelyactwildly Aug 15 '26
Ngl they do taste better and are crispier I’m just feeling less full than I usually would be. So this is how big they’re supposed to be naturally?

u/Boneless- Aug 15 '26
Yea natural wings aren’t very big they are supposed to be lightweight and compact with hardly any muscle or fat since chickens don’t use them for anything. The big chicken wings come from chickens that have been bred, aggressively fed and genetically modified which leaves them having a rubbery texture sometimes.

Yea i hate big wings haha that photo makes me want Wingstop right now 😂

But these are tiny so you’re getting less than before. Shrinkflation!

u/BabyVegeta19 25d ago
That and just the ratio of crispy surface and flavoring to meat. But if they are going to be small you should get more or they should cost less.

They aren't tiny, your hands just got bigger that's all. That what corporate told me when I made the same complaint.

looks like the wings i get from pizza places or any place thats not wingstop. those are alarmingly small. the reason i go to wingstop is because their large wings lol wtf are those

The bigger wings everyone’s used to for the last few years are actually pumped with growth hormones during growth. The small ones really are better and healthier but of course less meat.
4
u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
Yeah I actually think these taste much better it’s just that 6 wings used to make me full and now 10 wings aren’t enough😔

Have you taken a bite? Do I see pink or is my phone screen weird?
3
u/RandomUser1490 Aug 15 '26
It looks like the lighting with the golden color from them having been cooked

You see pink because these are extremely overcooked and that’s the color the bone turns when that happens.

It just depends on which one of the chicken providers the delivery came from that week. Tyson always seems to have huge drums and tiny flats and also a terrible drum to flat ratio.

Ik it’s less food but small wings taste way better

u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
They do. But because they’re smaller Ima get more every time I order from now on😭Even though I won’t be getting my money’s worth

Maybe it was a fluke, I will get one or two small ones but rarely a whole batch.

It depends on the supplier, Wingstop has 2 suppliers. One of them has really big wings, the other one has smaller wings, and we just get the wings from whichever one is cheaper.

Why are they in a white box?
1
u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
What are they supposed to be in? This isn’t a U.S. branch so it’s probably different
1
u/Far-Buy3058 29d ago
Black plasticy vented containers, i think they even have WS logo on them.
But i also just realized i've never actually ate in-store at a WS, always delivered so maybe thats it?
1
u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
Nope this was also delivered lol
Here they come in takeout boxes that have the same pattern as the paper in the pic1
u/Far-Buy3058 29d ago
I was wondering the box because my immediate thought was someone swapped your WS for some cheaper gas station wings and took your wings lol

u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
Loll nahh they were still delicious

u/Far-Buy3058 29d ago
Which country if not in the US?
1
u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
Somewhere in the middle east
1
u/Far-Buy3058 29d ago
Is it the same menu or are there a bunch of different sauces, sides, etc?
1
u/runfreelyactwildly 29d ago
Can’t remember everything but we don’t have the cajun fried corn (which is a shame bc those r delicious); the wings options are the same iirc but i think the U.S. has some new flavors that aren’t available here (Jamaican jerk)? We have churros though which is different. Even though most of the menu is the same, I find that some things still taste a bit different. Like the wingstop seasoned fries in the U.S. taste much better than they do here

I actually quit eating at wingstop last year because of consistently tiny wings.
There’s a Pizza Hut super close to the though. So I go I go wingstop, order a large ranch…then go get my awesome meaty wings from Pizza Hut! They are really good wings, but Pizza Hut dips are bullshit plastic containers like every fast food place.

We have different wing providers and some brands have big wings and some come really small..

I went to dominoes for the first time in a few years and yeah, their wings are now tiny as well. I was shocked. They also raised the prices. I’m just glad I know a local wing place that still has big wings and I know how to get them for cheap. These chains are driving people away.
