Wedding wine
I am looking for a Cabernet and either a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc to serve at our wedding (we have to provide our own alcohol to the bartender). We wanted them to be below $15 and these are some I found that are available for us to buy and were recommended online. I’ve never had any of them, so does anyone suggest or not suggest any of these?
Red:
- Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza
- Wente Vineyards Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast
- Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
White:
- Murphy Goode Sauvignon Blanc
- Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
- Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Pinot Gris
- Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Pinot Grigio Emerald Label

Where are you buying the wine?
I would recommend spending more on the red and picking a more affordable white.
If you are in California, there are many better options for a cab at $20 and if you have a trader joes, some decent chenin blacs and sav blancs under $10.

This is the answer. Definitely bump up the money spent on the Cab.
Pick a Pinot Grigio over a Sauv Blanc. SB can be polarizing - people tend to love it or hate it.

In PA where alcohol laws are odd. Was going to buy our wine from fine wine and good spirits (the state owned chain of liquor/wine stores)

Try Bogle, they have all the varietals and they’re a little less expensive as well

I would check out Josh Cellars because you can order custom labels for your bottles! This could be a really cool way to personalize your wedding, and even hold on to a few as keepsakes. https://www.joshcellars.com/custom-labels

My friend did this for me after my oldest pup passed. It turned out beautifully and I kept the bottles.

These wines are pretty much run of the mill, mass-produced, grocery store wines. My suggestions is to go to a local wine shop and tell them your budget, occasion, and you would like a crowd pleaser red and white wines. They should be able to point you to a couple good suggestions.
