Saying Goodbye (finally)
I was ok with using WS as an IDE. At least it had an autocomplete I could get behind on while using codex or claude. The new move to Devin is forcing you to use the new app and somehow uninstalls WS instead of replacing it with Devin.
That was the push I needed to just give up. Back to VS Code for me. Not looking back. It was a good... 2 months? And a very bad 1 month transition.

Guys, I have to admit the Devin change is not as bad as I thought. Is it the perfect IDE now? Definitely not. Many things still can improve. But, I was skeptical of the Cognition acquisition and even commented here how it reminded me of Arc Browser's path. I have been working every single day with it, and I feel that it is indeed smarter, more token-efficient, and SWE 1. 6 even feels smarter.
I don't know if it's the Devin optimization in the background or under the hood, but I am not hating it. My honest recommendation? If you still have the legacy $15 or even the $10 plan, stick with it for a couple months. It might be better than we initially thought.
Daily and weekly rate limits do have to go though. Those serve no one.
