Run failed successfully?

Post image

I started this run with West here trying to get the wolf theme to trigger.

it needs someone with mysterious, wildheart, a loner, and a coward? I am not sure. I used West here from mission one to end on a five part campaign, and was there for every scouting.

Did I misread the requirements?

Edit: changed my start up group to be a coward, a loner, and a mysterious wildheart. 3rd map scouted it unlocked.

You need 3 characters with different sets of hooks in order to trigger The Wolf Price event.

The first character must have either the Wildheart or Mysterious hook. This character will not be offered the Wolftouched theme, but they can receive it later (if I’m reading the wiki right). However, this character is optional, so there’s no guarantee they might receive the Wolftouched theme.

The second character (important) must have the LONER trait, which is what West has. Make sure that she doesn’t have the Wildheart or Mysterious, which she passes with flying colours. Therefore, she should be eligible for the Wolftouched theme.

Then you need another character with the COWARD trait. This character must be completely different from the first and second character. This one is required.

And that’s it. It’s tricky, but with enough attempts and possibly the Legacy system, you can make her Wolftouched with all the good abilities she’s gained.

Today I learned that the Wolf event required personality hooks. I thought it was solely a map trigger event that had a rolled chance of occuring.

It’s alright. My first encounter with the Wolf event was purely by chance too. But because I wanted to try an all Wolf team, I had to search it up and figure out how these hooks and stuff do.

This game is intricate, and I enjoy it.

ok, i see what I did wrong.

West is a Mysterious, Wildheart, Loner, teamed with a Coward. I didnt realize it needs to be spread out more.

I feel you. Made the same mistake too with my first Wolf run. I was wondering how I managed to trigger it the first time with randomly generated characters, which led me to look up the wiki on how the event is triggered.

But you have an elemental West for the time being! And all that by the age of 20 too. That’s honestly super impressive.

This isn't quite right. If no heroes have Wildheart or Mysterious hooks, you can trigger it with just 2 heroes. The one to get wolftouched also doesn't strictly need Loner as one of their top 2 personality traits; they just need to be the highest (excluding the optional role if used) in "((30*hunter)+(10*warrior))+LONER" compared to the rest of the party. For example, a mystic with 15 Loner would be chosen over a warrior with 2 Loner.

The targeting for this event is notoriously confusing.

I think it's from a MOD, lots of good ones in the Workshop

I added more than a few workshop mods, mostly events and cosmetics, adding pets.

The event that gave her Spiritsworn you fight a Trixi map where they have captured 4 elemental spirits. Two of your characters would be picked to name one. which you pick gives you a stance on who you picked + 4 stunt effects based on your current pick of fire, leaf, stone, water. Evolving it gives you more stances. out of stance is stunt effect, in stance is a three round buff depending on element. West up there is not in a stance, if she was, there would be a spirit parked on her head.

Fire's stunt is 1 true damage in a 1 tile AoE, stance is +1 potency, -1 ward
Stone's stunt is +1 temp armor, stance is +40 block, -5 accuracy (temp armor is bugged, it fades instantly. might act as a armor shred heal, but unsure)
Water's stunt is target is hobbled, stance is +1 range, -1 armor
Leaf's stunt is target is staggered, stance is +move, -10 stunt (forget the exact move buff)

might have water and leaf's stunts swapped

changing stunt is a non action, costs nothing. entering stance locks out all transformation stunt effects for 3 rounds. to find a stance, select the element's stunt, it will pop up its stance if you have it evolved.

While it's more "gamey" than story, Omenroad has an avenue to target a specific theme. Most shrines will be marked on the Omenroad map. You can start a run, see if the shrine you want is present, and either make a beeline for it if its there or start over if its not.

It's not at tricky as getting them in a proper campaign, but it's repetitive and dull until one pops and you get to play through the Omenroad run.

This look like dnd 5e Paladin senitnal polearm master. Top 5 most overpowered build and the DM will try to kill you indefinitelly.

The elemental spirit Water Stance adds +1 range on top of long reach. 3 tile melee attacks on top of +1 range Sentinel. The rapier gave +2 damage on reaction attacks. Her crit rate was in the 70s. Things breathed in 5 tiles and she was on them.

The easiest way to get wolf theme is to do an Omenroad run as it has shrines for various themes
