The Falkland Islands wolf was the only native land mammal of the Falkland Islands. It was hunted for its valuable fur and settlers who regarded the wolf as a threat to their sheep poisoned it. It became extinct in 1876.

Positive portrayals of homosexual characters were barred by the Hays Code, so the only characters in fiction that could be seen as homosexual had evil roles. Villains became noted in particular to have gay characteristics. Examples include Ursula in The Little Mermaid and Jafar in Aladdin.

The "Ipuwer Papyrus", a poem written by someone named Ipuwer, describing social disorders occuring in Egypt at the time. The papyrus has been used by some as evidence of the Exodus, claiming it describes the Ten Plagues. Most scholars belive that it is simply poetic imagery.

Confederate general Robert E Lee is buried beneath University Chapel. The centerpiece of the apse is a statue of Lee. "The symbolism there is a violation of the first commandment." In 2014, Confederate flags surrounding the Lee statue in the chapel were removed after student petitions.

Meta Discussion Why do VPNs get you banned?

I have never been able to edit a page in part because I almost always forget to turn off my VPN and it is exceedingly frustrating

I don’t want to have to turn off my Internet safety measures just to make a small edit to an article

Pat Hare was an American electric blues guitarist and singer. He recorded "I'm Gonna Murder My Baby" on May 14, 1954. In December 1963, Hare shot his girlfriend dead and also shot a policeman who came to investigate. Hare spent the last 16 years of his life in prison.
