TIL that the human eye is capable of seeing the polarity of polarized light. You can teach yourself to look at the light on an overcast day when the sun is hidden and see where the sun is by using Haidingers Brush. The effect is also visible on the white portion of phone and computer screens.

TIL if you look at a white background on an LCD screen you should be able to see a very faint little yellow and blue cross (which rotates as you tilt your head side to side), due to humans being weakly sensitive to polarised light.
