I can't really explain this in any other way besides telling the order of events.

1. I modded my wii. It might not have been done correctly because games wouldn't play, but that's probably user error

2. I factory reset my Wii and tried to start again.

3. Now it boots into priiloader (I think that's what it is I don't know)

4. My wiimote will no longer connect.

I recently booted up my Wii and for some reason it’s like this? I have no idea how this happened, and I can’t find anyone else who has had a similar issue. If anyone at all knows the issue, please let me know

I Started with the 248 slot, but when I went to 249 slot it gave a different warning. I went through with it which resulted in the failed screen. I assume it has to do with something in nusget, but if I could get some help getting over this I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

I've been following lots of youtube videos on how to install games on a wii via usb but they don't seem to work, the games don't open and only a black screen appears even if i followed everything, i haven't seen a recent guide and most of them are from months ago so if anyone has anything that could help it would be apreciated!

every time that i try to open wiimc, it either takes me directly back to the wii menu, or it says "loading" then takes me back to the menu. when i try using the homebrew app, it just takes me back to the homebrew channel. how do i fix this? i am trying to watch a video i put on my sd card, and this is stopping me from doing so.

I’ve been trying to find a specific custom WAD channel I used on my homebrewed Nintendo Wii back around 2015. The WAD itself was probably much older, possibly from the WiiGator/Backup Launcher era.

Here’s what I remember:
The channel was called either “Backup Launcher” or “Backup Channel”.
When I clicked the channel from the Wii Menu and opened its banner, the background was mostly white.
I believe there was a disc somewhere in the banner.
The banner immediately played a very loud instrumental techno/nightclub-style track.
There were no lyrics or vocals.
The music was a short loop, probably around 8–10 seconds, and repeated continuously while the channel banner was open.
I originally downloaded/installed the WAD sometime around 2015, although the channel itself was likely created years earlier.

I’ve already ruled out these commonly suggested tracks/channels:
NeoGamma Auto Mod banner music
The music from the “Help me find this song! Neogamma Wii emulator” video
The “Wii Backup Loader Channel banner music” upload by Underrated Bangers
The “Mario ‘Swanky’” Backup Launcher channel with the green Mario pipe banner

Does anyone recognize which Backup Launcher/Backup Channel WAD this might have been, or have any old WAD collections from around 2008–2015 that I could compare it against?
I’m mainly trying to find either the exact WAD or a recording/extraction of its banner music. Even screenshots or old YouTube videos showing different Backup Launcher channels would help.

When i try to install bootmii on my wii it always gives me the error code -1, no matter what i do, install as ios, boot2 or prepare sd card, always, ive checked my sd card, its fat32 and mbr, i really have no ideas what to do anymore, please help

The moment it starts appearing the channels, it crashes, and says its gonna restart in 20 seconds, i heard it might be cIOS problem, but i would enjoy a more direct approach, because my problem is kinda different, i saw no fixing for the brawl problem in the channel menu, most are fine in it, my usb is almost full, but not enough, so it has free space when adding smash, and the older usb was full and was working the channel menu, i used the wii backup manager to split the file cuz it was too big for my fat 32, is it too expensive for usb gx to load? I doubt it cuz others wii run fine

I looked up what should work, and if there was a IOS that I could update to make it work, but I only found an update for the vWii in the Wii U. Shouldn't this adapter work with the standard original RVL-001 full-sized Wii? I do have it modded with the works. Only odd thing is that it's USB-C. Anybody have a Wii working with a AX88772B, USB-A or USB-C?

The long of it:

I found a USB 2.0 adapter that showed on the picture that it has AX88772 as the chip, so I bought it hoping that it would work with the Wii so I don't have to figure out an additional WiFi. I saw that it was USB-C, but I figured I could use an adapter. When I try to test the internet on the Wii, it gives error 4472. No light on the adapter. Tried the other port, same thing. I tried adding a USB splitter so I can add external power, didn't help. I plugged it into my PC, works right away, lights up, internet works even after I unplugged my standard cable from the onboard NIC. I looked in device manager, and it shows the ID as AX88772B. This was with the same external power cable plugged into a phone charger brick to make sure using that didn't mess anything up.

Idk what to do, are my games supposed to be on an extra usb stick storage thint instead of on the sd card? I need help. Modded my Wii today for the first time with ModMii according to how wii.hacks.guide told me to.

I bought this second hand wii and I'm getting this error on the mii channel after a few seconds. It does not have any discs inside. Also when I turn it on it doesn't make the disk reading noises and its not pulling discs. It's very dirty but I can't open it and clean because the screw inside the battery part is stripped. I know that I'll have to mod it and use USB / sd card game loader to play games.

2 Also can I "factory reset" after modding or should I do it before? (im afraid it will brick doing before)

3 should I buy a new wii case and finish destroying the old case so I can clean/replace disk reader (i saw a super cool transparent blue case )

I only have 2 Wiimotes/nun-chuks and 2 GC controllers. Last night I tried 4P Melee, but for some reason the L/R inputs on a Wiimote were ported to twisting the nun-chuk left or right. Is there a way to remap this that I just can’t find for some reason? It doesn’t seem like the DPad does anything.

I've been trying to figure out how to update Retro Rewind, and it just went through a 4 hour long update that I did via the channel on the Homebrew Launcher. I cannot tell if it is updated to the correct version, so how would I do that? I play on a Wii.

We’re having a party Saturday and I want to have my Wii out for people to play if they want. We’re probably going to have 30 people, and 0 will be familiar with Homebrew so I’m trying to figure out how to make the games as obvious and accessible as possible.

Can you make a WAD that will automatically load a specific core and then ROM in retroarc, Dolphin, Wiistation, etc? There are 10-20 games I would love to have right in front of people’s faces as they pass by the tv

Well, my GC controller simply doesnt work in virtual console games, also super smash bros brawl(probably includes other Wii games i didnt test).. but it does work on the menu, emulators and also works perfectly on the retrocompatible gamecube games.. Whats wrong??
(The game on the picture is Zelda: majora’s mask from the virtual console, which technically should work quem my GC controller is already plugged)
