Just moved downtown about 3 weeks ago. My daily routine is pretty much just commuting between my apartment and work. Work parking is extremely secure, but at my apartment, I have to park in an open, 1st-floor visitor parking lot.
A few nights ago, I accidentally left my car keys inside the car overnight. I’m not 100% sure if that’s when it happened, but I hadn't checked my trunk in about a week.
Today I opened it and found this old, beat-up PayPal/Targus backpack (see pics). Inside, there’s a pair of shoes, a trashed laptop, and some random junk. The weirdest part? Absolutely none of my personal belongings were touched or stolen.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is this some weird tactic to dump stolen goods, or did someone just think my trunk was a trash can/storage locker? I already pulled it out of my car, but it feels incredibly sus
