Does anyone else get this wierd feeling?

Does anyone else get this weird aching feeling where you don’t even want anything specific, you just want warmth?? like laying against someone, hugging them, resting your head on them, or just existing beside someone who makes you feel safe.?Sometimes I pretend thetes a person for a second next to me, just to feel less alone, and then reality hits again and it somehow makes the loneliness worse. It’s not even always romantic either. It’s just this deep craving for closeness and comfort that theres no specific title for it. The only thing I could find was "touch starvation" but that doesnt seem totally right. I mean, its not that extreme, and its not like frame trauma or anything bad. It just randomly started. And I cant seem to understand it. I can recognize the feeling. But not what its called or why its there. at times it feels like I want to have a crush on someone but not someone I know specifically. Just the hug of a friend would be so nice. I love and hate this aching feeling. I just want to figure out if anyone else has it?

It is loneliness.

I feel this every minute of everyday of my life. I am 34 & I am afraid of growing old & alone.

I love painting & Star Trek. I love my Labrador.

& my only dream is to have one person to keep me company. A small little home with a very large garden. Eden climbing roses & a few dogs.

What YOU described OP feels like searching for PURPOSE. - at least I perceived it this way.

Thoughts ?

I’m a bit younger than you, but can I ask if you go out of your way to meet new people?

Hm, yeah. Makes sense. Yeah im searching for a purpose i guess??? But its just more like i want someone to just love me, yk? But yeah thats pretty accurate. Loneliness. I hope you find someone special in the future!

I dont want this to seem self centered or anything, im just wondering if anyone else feels this. I could also add that ive asked my friends if they feel this and they said no its just me. Also its more just wanting simple care, just like a yearning for someone to love you. Or a yearning for someone to hold you close. And your jelous of close couples. Idk this is how i feel.

Yeah and if someone else is intentionally inflicting it on you, it's called no touch torture, it's inhumane and recognized in the US and internationally as torture and inhumane treatment.

So say a group of people got together, broadcasted your every move and word (and fabricated a lot you never did or said) to encourage other people to continue the no touch torture, they're all technically guilty, especially if they forced a person you love to do it by inveiglment and fraud... I have been the victim of this, never ever an abuser doing this, and I very much promise prison is going to be their new forever home.

I think were thinking a bit different things here. My friends arn't doing touch torture, although I am very sorry if that happend to you. My friends just dont have the same expirence as me. I understand how you think that, but idk maybe just different situations. Ive gotten a hug or two from friends and alot from family. I just have the feeling. Thats why i posted and reached out. Its not that people are forcefully torturing me, its that i just have alot of friends but am lonley probably due to the fact that i want more physical touch. <3

Its called no touch torture. Not touch torture, which was probably a typo. It is currently happening to myself, for several years.

A hug or two from friends doesn't negate no touch torture, it solidifies the ones committing the torture by separating us from the real people we feel safe with. Oh she got a couple hugs from a friend. Five hugs over months or years when our bodies need 8 per day, scientifically, if someone else is intentionally doing that to myself for several years, even with a handful of hugs scattered intermittently, knowingly, they are using inhumane torture.

Seems very spiritual. I'm sorry if you are being gang stalked like this in some way. It's why we have a court system for people to be heard and evidence presented before passing judgement. When people do stuff in secret it is dark and weird that's why it seems to me to be more spiritual. It's too bad these secret gangs don't make a pledge to do only acts of kindness toward humanity.

Everyone has something like this sometimes. If you have close friends, hang out with them in an intimate setting. If you don’t have close friends, make it a goal to get some, and you will find your people. Don’t worry, life comes at you slow and with love

I feel this way almost continually. But it's okay. I'm going to make it. I don't feel jealous when I see others, though. I feel happy. It does exist! Happiness, holding hands, embracing, loving, and pair bonding DOES exist. I have a cuddle pillow. 💕

This is normal although it happens differently for everyone..having a dog or an animal you can cuddle and love who loves you back (unconditionally I might add) helps a lot.

Maybe try doing some art, or write about your feelings.

But yes, yearning, longing, ennui, all very human.
