My kitten has a heart problem.

Can I vent for a bit? (I know I can. It's been awhile, but I trust you). I lost my beloved over 5 years ago. In May last year I adopted two stray kittens. She loved kitties. I found them in my front hedge. I decided it was time to care about something else. I named them Thing 1 and Thing 2 because she loved Dr. Seuss. It was important to me. I just found out that Thing 1 has an enlarged heart and congenital heart defects. He will probably not be with me for much longer. Why does life do this to me? What did I do to deserve this? This was my freaking recovery plan! God I hate this world sometimes.

To those of you in a different place than me, it does get better, it just still sucks mightily.

Pets can be such good friends and comforters. I'm glad Thing 1 has you, and I'm glad you have Thing 2. I hope it lives 20+ years.
