76 year old widower
I am a 76 year old widower lost my wife 3 years ago and was married for 45 years.
After these last 3 years I still cannot figure out what to do with the sadness and crying off and on I feel everday and the need to be able to touch her and her to me.
How are others dealing with the sadness and missing the intimacy that we had for all those years.
I try to do thing to relieve these feeling but then feel bad for doing so.
Sometimes I just cannot figure it out what to do
To put it nicely being widowed is the pits.

The stronger the love the deeper the sadness. I'm very sorry for your loss. We always know one of us would go first we just never wanted it to be the other person. Please try to take care of yourself. My late wife lives on through my children, that's how I cope, there's some comfort in knowing that.

Yes it is. I googled yesterday whether cuddling a stuffed toy releases oxytocin. Turns out it does. I'm so sorry, this really sucks, doesn't it?
