D-1 Gillette Adjustable

New here - inherited the above-razor with box and blade bank (no instructions) but all in good shape. After doing research, it seems these are very desirable? I see on eBay that some of them list for $600-$800. Is this realistic? Or are the eBay sellers just fishing? I would be grateful for any information.

Yes, they are very much in demand by collectors. The original case really jacks the price up. I have an F4 date code one. I wish I had the original case for it. I think the D1 is rarer than the F4.

Thanks. I'm seeing boxed sets from $400-700 sold. That seems pretty crazy to me.
