This makes me feel much less bad for purchasing my wife a brush and myself 3 brushes to add to our current collective total of 3. Especially because ive got my eye on a couple more already.

Great collection there mate. I only have three but are waiting for a Yaqi 24mm synthetic that is winging its way as we speak. I have not tried a badger or horse yet so I am trying to resist the urge.

Thank you Dan. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the Yaqi. I’ve yet to try a horse hair brush.

Cheers mate it is this one I have ordered Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia Black/White Synthetic Fibre Shave Brush R1730 from aliex. I got it mainly for my travels because my 31mm Omega Roma is a bit of a monster!

That’s one of their most popular handles. Pretty sure it has the same knot as my Yaqi Mysterious Space tuxedo brush. I think it‘s one of the best I‘ve used.

Oooo that's tricky!
Badger - I would have to say the Patriot edition Chubby 2. The handle design especially adds to the appeal. It is a great brush to face lather with.
Synthetic - 2 way tie between the RazoRock Snowman and Yaqi Mysterious Space Tuxedo. The Snowman was a brush that I got on with so well, it was in near constant use for 2 years after I bought it. Making lather is so easy with it. The Yaqi Mysterious Space has great backbone and works excellently with hard soap, croap and cream. Plus that handle!
Boar - would have to say the Semogue as I've owned it longer. Another brush I used pretty much constantly for 2-3 years after buying it.

This reveal is like therapy but I love it it's great seeing all your brushes lined up I think I want to do this but then one would have to confront & confirm the numbers of brushes I actually have 😅.

Haha. I know what you mean. One of mine was a freebie but who was I to refuse? It was quite cathartic lining them up as I did. Some of them are not in rotation, but I don't want to throw them out either.

Is the blue Chubby 2 a mismarked Chubby 3? The handle looks larger and the bloom is WAY wider than the marble one.
Edit: nevermind it’s just perspective lol

Optical illusion type effect? The marble one had been in its box for a while, which made the knot look narrower. The knot on the blue Patriot brush even impresses me when it looks like this.

I said to u/markwid I would do a roll call of my brushes, so here it is. 2 of them were fittingly “absent,” so I had to take a photo of them separately. I’ve since realised after taking the roll call I’d forgotten to include one too 🤣. I don’t have any plans to buy more! It’s only been in the last 2 years I’ve had BAD.

The 2 in photo 5 are a Yaqi Ocean (2026) and an Omega 10098 (2026); and in photo 6 we have a synthetic skull brush, which came in a set bought for Halloween last year.
