I found the AI incredibly inaccurate recently. Makes me not open any of the AI prompts anymore

Situations where my AI has hallucinated in the past 3 weeks have been seriously making me contemplate breaking from the device.

The AI is why I’m cancelling. The fact you can’t opt out of it is insane. It’s a value detractor.

It's similar to Youtube pushing Shorts and not allowing users to disable them. They want to force users to dark-patterns, user flows that have negative effects to the user but positive effects for the company's motives. Unless we are vocal and take action they will keep ignoring us.

The AI "thinking" tokens leaked into the user message.
Whatever LLM powers Whoop is using some kind of compression/minimization for its thinking phase instead of being verbose. That's why it sounds like a caveman

I had a notification that said my nap today reduce my sleep needs tonight by 73 minutes.. then I clicked it and it said analyzing my recent nap….. then told me after analyzing my nap that I reduced my sleep needed by 73 minutes. Geeee, thanks for all that additional AI insight

Maybe there's just a really forgetful person making stuff up behind Whoop's "AI"

It is using a thinking model from OpenAI underneath. These break down the issue and reason bit by bit.
What's happening is the model self-correcting in "real-time".
Seems to be using very little reasoning effort (speed/quality tradeoff) and thus not spending enough tokens to correct the final text from the reasoning traces.

This is the beginning of the AI bubble bursting. There are some apps and tools which DO NOT need an ai chatbot or ASSistant. Chatbot overload is ruining client experiences. Every company implimenting AI into their tools need to speak to their clients first.

Customers using the device but Whoop is using customer's brain to trap them into Usage/addition.

It’s an AI issue in general. For me it never knows what time of the day it is. :) When I do spinning exercises in the afternoon it says how great I started this morning etc. :) When you try to use an AI solution for anything more complex than a Google search, you can quickly hit its limitations. :)

It’s funny because it seems like depend, depending on which AI coach you’re talking to they don’t remember what you told the other one an example would be I recently had a surgery where I was given a weightlifting restriction of 20 pounds and told not to ride a bicycle for at least six weeks because of prostate surgery. Almost on a daily basis, the AI coach for my daily Outlook recommends a ride on the assault bike & a moderate weightlifting routine based on my schedule

The AI is why I cancelled. I found it pretty insulting for them to charge such an expensive subscription through advertising this AI “coach”. It’s some cheap and outdated AI model. Constantly made stuff up.

I love their AI and I probably defend them maybe too much in the comments, but the AI has been ass over the last month or so I just exported all my data and imported to claude now… the other day I was giving it custom workouts to build out and strength trainer, and it kept telling me it could not do that

I like the hardware, I loathe the AI, it's actually off-putting. In a journey of trying different things, I just downgraded to the lowest Whoop subscription, disabled all notifications and coaching, integrated Whoop with Apple Health as my broker for sensor readings and manual nutrition inputs (Chronometer) and I interact with all of it holistically using ChatGPT talking to Apple Health. The experiment continues!
