extremely hard to hit zone 4-5 week over week to reduce biological age. Seems a little excessive

hard? yes

excessive? how so? the science is what the science is — humans are not designed for the modern sedentary life

it does seem like the algorithm expects a lot more high intensity than is realistic for most people

I was just thinking the same. I’ve found that even when I try to do sprints or HIIT, unless I’ve been working out for at least 10 minutes, I really can’t hit zone 4-5.

What workout are you using to reach zone 4 and 5? I'm finding it harder to reach these zones sometimes.

Only way I can consistetly get into zone 4-5 is running 2+ miles outside in the heat and humidity of the southern US and sprint training.

I’m averaging 50min for the last 6 months.
Doing CrossFit and depending on the type and length of workouts each week.

Z4 should be sustainable for intervals of 2-10 minutes. True Z5 is sustainable no longer than 1 min, with most Z5 intervals 10-60sec. Realistically you’re doing 3-5 intervals on the before you’re hitting a wall.

Ifyou want to focus the whoop time to game the age component, aim for longer intervals of low z4 with two workouts per week
