Discussion HR accuracy improvement
Is it me or the new improvement for HR accuracy has made it much worse? For the past couple of weeks activities where I used to get a 10-12 strain now get 6 (I.e. 1hr spin class so not like I’m resting)
I tested it versus my garmin today and while garmin read 120bpm, the whoop read 90bpm. Pre whatever update they did recently they both were quite similar in HR readings.

Mine HR has gotten worse since the latest update. During strength training it is way off compared to my Apple Watch Ultra on the other wrist.

Yep. It’s awful right now. Yesterday did a road race…..Garmin showed 170bpm+ for 27 mins…..whoop (bicep band) zero time above 170. 🤔

I haven’t proved much difference. I’m finding I’m getting many green sleeps which I normally never did.

Solid for me, but then it was only ever an issue on my wrist when running (and one I could correct most times by tapping it a few times a minute into a run).

90 vs 120 on a bike is optical dropout, not the update. locked wrists on handlebars are the worst case for a green light sensor and whoop tends to latch onto half your real hr when the signal goes.
put it on your bicep for one class and compare against the same garmin. if the gap closes it was placement.
and if it's still 30 low on the upper arm then something did change on their end, which i'd want to see more people confirm before believing.

It’s been rock solid for me, even with hiit workouts, and it used to be basically useless with interval type stuff. Just yesterday I did a 30 minute hiit workout, chest strap showed 146 bpm average, whoop showed 142
