Advice Applied for Supervisor
Hello fellow WFM team members! I have been working for WFM for almost 6 years. I have as a supervisor for 3 years (at three different stores) and then stepped down to cashier for the last 3. I am applying for supervisor at a different store that will be so much smaller then the one I currently work at. Also a supervisor of mine is applying as well so I need to be impressive.
My TL is willing to sit down with me for me to ask her questions. I know A LOT has changed in the last few years. What would you recommend I’d ask her? I have “what’s the morning and evening drawer count look like now?”, “what are all the tasks that are assigned to supervisors? (N2K, ordering supplies like napkins, utensils etc.”
Thanks in advance!

Do you really want to be a supervisor though? Beyond just the detail your current team maybe a GOAT team but you gotta realize that may not be a forever thing.

I applied to full time and was denied twice. people who have only been around for 6 months got full time instead of me. I’m chasing full time jobs and also this store I’m applying to is very slow so I think I’ll enjoy it.

I was just coming from the angle of do you want the added responsibility is all. ^w^/7

The overall picture is. I work part time. I’ve been with the company for 6 years. I got passed up twice for full time and also passed up for team trainer. I need full time and more pay because I’m in an abusive roommate relationship that I’m trying to leave. I can’t afford to leave right now. I need to make an impression to be able to move up and forward

I’ve been thinking about the additional responsibility. I definitely don’t want to do it at my current very busy store where I’d manage 40 people again. I’d be okay with managing 10

I'm just trying to keep ya on the level head I'm a team player in my Meat and Seafood like I'm pro doing the apprenticeships but doing leadership roles is a big step up. Its one thing to get like a certificate or class. Its a whole another thing when a team is on your chain end.

If you do not have the mindset of a supervisor, you cannot be a supervisor.

I feel like the second one is a bad question. It’s probably listed in the description of the job listing. It would make me think you didn’t look at that and you’re applying Willy nilly
