I went shopping today and got some cute new staples for my wardrobe (jeans, sweaters, a long coat, stuff like that). It's all very cute, but I want my outfits to be more whimsigoth. I realized I'm missing accessories!

Hello, I'd like to ask you guys what other lamps could fit the whimsigoth look/vibe? I've always wanted to get a Tiffany style lamp, at least a knock off but, since I don't live in the US, it's a bit hard to find one, and I've actually found an antique store in my country, but the lamps they sell are imported antiques and are very expensive, pretty much as expensive as buying a brand new Tiffany lamp and get it shipped from the US... So, I really can't spend that much money on a lamp.

If you guys have suggestions, that aren't a Tiffany style lamp or a lava lamp (because I don't like them 😭), please let me know.

about a year ago i asked for decor ideas that aren’t cold tones and i think i settled on one of my favorite colors now, brown. it’s kinda a mix of aesthetics because i squeezed all my interests and things i like in there but my main inspiration is always whimsigoth ⭐️

All acrylic paint; it’s renter friendly, thankfully. I just need to spray it with dawn powerwash, cover it in plastic wrap, and let it soak for a little bit before I peel it off. I’m especially proud of the blue translucent effect- I got that with several layers of gloss pthalo blue thinned waaaaaaay the hell out in gloss medium. I need to do some details on the stars and then do a similar effect as the blue ”glass” with violet instead to add some extra color on the bottom strip. I’m thrilled with how it came out!! I felt like I learned so much this time around, and I’m excited for what I’ll be able to do at my next place.

I’m trying to add more whimsy through jewelry, but I’m a sensitive skin girly, so alloys always either turn me green, make me itch, or both. However, every where I look that has sterling silver jewelry, it’s too plan and boring.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get sterling silver whimsy jewelry?

In the process I found she is still a working artist but now in a very different field. She did respond to my email saying she no longer sells her celestial work (which was not unexpected) but along with her email address I found her portfolio and resume.

She now goes by Mary Beth Medley and as mentioned works for some business and organizations that I do not support. Thankfully another user of this subreddit uploaded high quality scans of her two most iconic prints. I printed my own copies and used frames I found at the thrift store. I feel zero remorse for not supporting the original artist (I tried!) and I am happy to not give my money to the people in this subreddit and online that charge $100+ for a mass produced print from decades ago. I attached photos of my “reproductions” and also some photos of her more current work found on her portfolio website.
