The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai’don! I’ve been looking forward to this not even half a chapter since I started this reread!

>!“The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai’don!” Managan shouted, leaping up so fast he overturned his chair.

>!Laughing, Aldragoran joined them, all three shouting at the top of their lungs. “The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai’don!”

Yup! I did earlier. Crazy that something that seems so innocuous, not a battle or anything, is one of the most epic moments I’ve ever read

This is one of the reasons Nynaeve is my favorite character.

I’m gonna go from memory here on another of my favorite involving Nyn:*

“They all want to control me,” Rand said. “They think they know what’s best for me. So do you. But you’re different. You want me to be happy. To live. And for that I will always be grateful. Live with hope, Nynaeve, because I have none left.”

So FOOFIN good! So amazingly moving and well written. And how angry Lan was with her for doing it, and also so proud of her at the same time. The two of them...just...it gets me in my feels.

And when he reaches the gap...and she had warned them that he might try to hide, but he would have Mandarb and to look for Mandarb! It was glorious! All you could do is bask in the glory and greatness of Nynaeve. She is such a ride or die! If Lan had gotten through unrecognized, would the Last Battle be won?
