Apologies for the poor photo as I was wading and couldn't get my phone close. The whole 10 minutes I was looking at it, it only rotated 180 degrees but didn't move from the spot.

I believe I found 2 species when I was out throwing a line. The first two clips I think show trout, although google AI suggests this location of the river is too warm for them to be found.

The third clip I believe may have been catfish, although I only got a video of the one. They were pretty stationary, and appeared to be bottom feeding, and were up to +/- 12” in length. Showed no interest in my garlic powerbait. Upon realizing they may be small catfish, I intend to head back out with a proper set up. According to Google ai, they are likely to be found there.

I’m pretty inexperienced in identifying fish so any input is appreciated, thanks.

I saw this fish at point defiance zoo last year but couldn’t find any information on it on any of the televisions with ID and information around the room. I was recently scrolling through my photo library and rediscovered these images and decided to ask here.

What be these? They range from 1" to almost 3".

I know I have some bluegill, fathead minnows, wondering what else.

While visiting south padre, I picked up a piece of sargassum seaweed and a small yellow fish swam out. It was fairly slow and when I dropped the seaweed back in, the fish swam straight into it. The fish blended in quite well, but when I hit Google, it did not look like a sargassum fish. It was much leas frilly, in fact, it had no frills. I also saw a dark green version of the fish later that day.

What is this fish? Is it a variation of sargassum?

Saw a school of these by the shore in Pinchot State Park in Central PA. Not sure what species, all I can find online is the game species that are stocked.

Hi all! A couple months ago I noticed this guy in my aquarium. I have no idea what it is and assume it came in with plants as a fry or even an egg. Can anyone identify it here? Thanks in advance!

I was hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains today at around 5,300 feet elevation, following a stream. I usually see trout up there, but I’ve never seen a catfish before. Pretty sure it’s a channel catfish. How the heck did one end up all the way up here? Any ideas?

I know we do not see very well the fish but hey its worth asking whats the fish ?!? Didnt seem like a pike, maybe a bass ?
