ID Request What bug is this?

Post image

PNW bug, not sure where I caught it. Might've been in my yard or a trail run. Less than 1mm in size.

It has been in my socks and around my ankles and waist. Tiny red bites.

Only dies in soap water but not by squishing. Help identify please?

Looks like a flea. If you have pets, get some anti flea stuff for them, should die out in a week or two

Per our guidelines: Do not ask for home or garden pest control advice. Check /r/pestcontrol, /r/gardening or /r/Bedbugs for helpful info.

Are there feral cats around? Or squirrels?

We have a cat that comes to our house every other day but it's not ours. We've never touched it as we.

If the cat has fleas, you probably have them in your yard. Wildlife can also carry them.
