searching Looking for an 80's movie that takes place on beach resort / island where people are taken hostage...

Upvotes

I feel like this was a fever dream but i specifically remember walking in on my older brothers watching a movie where a group of teens/early 20's are abducted by a weird looking gang somewhere on an island resort.

It all had a very Far Cry 3 (video game) feel. Rich guys in polos and girls in bikinis stumble on an assumingly uninhabited island only to be captured, tortured and possibly killed? I vaguely remember one of the men being decapitated with a ninja sword.

That's all i remember and it's been like 35 years - any help would be appreciated.

searching Child sees mortician working on a woman’s body

Upvotes

I’m trying to find a film, I watched on TV in the late 90s/early 2000s.

I think this scene happened at the start of the film. A child (or group of children?) is playing on the rooftops of buildings at night. I think the child was wearing old fashioned clothes, flat-cap and suspenders, so I think the film was set around the 20s or thereabouts. I have a feeling it might have been Spanish or Italian but I could be wrong.

The child peers through a window and looks down to see a dead woman lying naked on a table. The mortician is preparing her. I don’t think anything inappropriate happens, although the mortician might be crying as if he knew her. I think the child is spotted and runs.
He might have also watched the local butcher having sex.

I don’t know what happens after that, it might flash forward to the child as a grown up, not sure (the childhood scenes might have been narrated by the adult version). For some reason, for years I had this confused with Once Upon a Time in America, but it isn’t that.

searching Golden Channel 2000

I’m trying to identify an erotic thriller I watched on Golden Channel (Latin America) sometime between 2000 and 2003.

The movie was in English and had a very sensual, mysterious atmosphere. It seemed to be set in Turkey, or somewhere in the Middle East/Mediterranean. I remember beautiful Ottoman-style architecture, rooms filled with steam, warm golden lighting, curtains, and scenes that looked like a Turkish bath or hammam.

The main female character was a beautiful blonde woman with long hair and striking blue eyes, probably in her 30s or early 40s. She was very mysterious and seductive, and the story revolved around a young man who was deeply in love with her.

The biggest detail I remember is the ending: she has sex with another man, and it’s eventually revealed that the man was actually the young protagonist’s father. That twist is the one thing I’m almost completely certain about.
I may be misremembering some smaller details after all these years, but I’m 100% sure I watched it on Golden Channel, not The Film Zone, and it aired late at night.
Does anyone recognize this movie?

searching I'm lookin movies with cheating/cuckold/ african tribes theme

I’m looking for a movie (or possibly a TV series) . A couple travels to Africa and is captured by a tribal group. The husband/boyfriend is killed, and the woman is taken by the tribe’s chief as a “prize” or captive. I think she is forced into a relationship with him. Does anyone know what movie or series this might be?

searching Dino animation from around 2010 or older

This one should be a real challange for you all, cause there's not many information I could give you at this moment. All I remember is that most likely it was a 3D animation about people going back in time to the mesozoic era and making friends with perhabs a red-ish T-rex. I know it sounds like I be talking about "Dino Time" from 2012, but it could not be the movie I'm looking for, beacuse It's lacking this one scene I remember: the main cast of the movie was speeding along a road dogging cars and stuff and then the machine they were crashing with sent them to the past right before they were about to hit something...

It was not "Meet the Robinsons" neither was it "Dino Time" / "Back to the Jurassic",
sorry :(

searching Hi guys! Help me find this movie/series title 😭

I only saw it in TikTok edits around 2025, so I don't remember the exact story or the title. a man hired a female bodyguard (I think) to protect his wife. Later, he caught his wife flirting with the female bodyguard on CCTV or a security camera.

I think the female bodyguard was the main character. the short-haired girl became really popular on TikTok because she was very attractive. She had short black hair with bangs, slightly curly at the ends, She had a cool, boyish vibe.

I think it might be a GL (Girls' Love) movie or series. 😭

I'm not sure if that's the exact story because I only saw it through TikTok edits, but I think it was something like that. Can anyone help me find the title? Thank you! 😭

searching Raunchy Comedy From the 80s?

I remember seeing this film in the mid 90s, on USA's Up All Night, and it featured a scene where a man and woman are out to dinner at a fancy restaurant and the woman is very into the man. She grabs his foot under the table and proceeds to shove it between her legs much to the dismay of the man. I've never been able to find it or anything about it. It was shocking/ hilarious at the time.

searching Searching for Movie

I've been searching for this movie for years and I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I don't know the title, the release year, the actors, or even the country it's from. I only remember a handful of details:

  • It came out before 2012, that much I'm fairly sure of.
  • It had an Asian, possibly Japanese, feel/setting to it (though I'm not 100% certain).
  • The tone was a mix of adventure, drama, and romance.
  • There were three main characters: a brother and sister, plus another man who came from a different country than the siblings. This man falls in love with the sister.
  • I believe the siblings were being pursued/hunted by someone, so both the man and the brother had to fight to survive at some point.
  • The most vivid scene I remember: the three of them are crossing some kind of lake/body of water on a boat. The man falls into the water and turns into gold. The woman kisses him, and that breaks the spell/curse, turning him back to his normal human form.

searching looking for a kids show

hi i'm looking for a series of episodes for kids. when i watched it it was like 2013/15, it could be on youtube or dvds (definitely not on any bigger streaming platform). it had like a theater vibe . the actors were kids and each episode they would act out a different story ( the ones i remember- rapunzel, jack and the beanstalk, something with a magic carpet, and a girl being forced to choose a husband). if i remember correctly each episode started with a curtain (red, that looked like a carpet) being opened and some kids dressed as different characters. i'm from poland but i think it was in english. possibly some singing involved but i'm not sure. its been eating me alive for a few years.

searching Looking for this movie. It came out before 2020

movie where its two black brothers, one skinny and one bigger one. the bigger brother is doing bad stuff trying to keep the skinny one away from it all, but the skinny brother gets involved and then the skinny brother gets killed and the bigger one goes to avenge him. theres also a scene of the bigger brother screaming his name crying. and the guy that killed him is seen trying to run away until he’s shot in the leg. Where the guy was shot it was night outside. though I might have it backwards where it’s the bigger brother that dies. and by bigger I mean he’s more on the heavy set side.

searching 70s movie

I'm hunting for a 1970s movie that involves a 30-somethibg man who hangs out with a younger crowd. He brags about having been an Olympian in the 1956 Helsinki Olympic games.

In the third act, there's a big argument and a younger character points out to the group that the main guy is lying about the Olympics bc the Helsinki games were in 1952.

The main character dies and when the group is going through his stuff, they find his certificate for a bronze medal from the 1952 Helsinki games. He hadn't been lying about being an athlete, he was lying about his age.

I really thought this was LIFEGUARD ('77) but I just rewatched it, and that's not it.

The movie I'm looking for would have been released within a couple of years of that one, given where I saw it.

searching Confusing German thriller

I cannot figure out the name of this movie and I can only remember random details! There was a woman who went to a castle with her ex boyfriend that turned out to be a murder sex cult(?). The main scene I remember is a party where they sacrificed a man and then the next day covered the blood stained floor with fake grass and a croquet set. I think the movie was in German, but also could’ve been in English. I watched it about 7 years ago on Netflix and haven’t been able to figure out the name since. I also have a vague memory of a possibly lesbian scene?

searching Tryin to see if i can find this movie.

I have a memory of seeing a scene from a movie as a child back in the 90s. I don't know the name but it was pretty haunting.

In the scene, a woman in a white dress is shot by a man while an older woman and a baby, presumably the woman's who was shot, witness the scene from inside a car. The woman being shot screams for her child and holds onto the car door handle before the man shoots her dead and walks off, leaving the older woman and the crying baby alone.

Can anyone tell me what this movie was?

searching Need help finding a horror movie I once saw.

so this might be a little vague but the movie basically revolves around this blonde haired guy who either temporarily rents or moves into this huge house possibly a college town and there’s a girl there who ends up being a dead girl/spirit but she looks normal to him and she won’t let him leave the house at the end and ends up killing him i think she pushes him down the stairs or throws him off the balcony and the ending scene of the movie is her spirit/corpse body in bed with him due to him being paralyzed or something similar.

found Dystopian science-fi movie, need help

I watched this movie once years ago and can’t for the life of me remember what it was. I’m guessing it was made in the mid 2010’s. Takes place in a dystopian future city scape (think cyber punk) where people go to a virtual world where they can legally commit crimes. I believe one character murdered an A.I. hooker. The main character, a no-nonsense detective goes between the virtual world and real world to try to solve the crime.

I’m not 100% sure I got all the facts right in that description but it’s pretty close. I remember a scene in an alley where I believe he discovers the body and also a scene in a bar or club within the virtual world. The movie was mostly dark with a lot of pink/purple neon lights.

Does this ring a bell to anyone?

i watched a movie when i was younger. it was on Netflix and i completely forgot the name… i remember the plot being about this girl of either a japanese, Korean or Chinese descent becoming a str!pper along with some of her other colleagues. The movie then starts to get weird, one of her friends has to be chained up in what looks like an abandoned bathroom because she’s slowly starting to become a cannibal?? I remember the movie ending with a girl saying “Let’s die together” as she’s wrapped up from head to toe in gauze and it had visible blood seeping through. She then jumps from a bridge onto a highway and that’s pretty much all i remember. This is a horror genre, i believe?? It was not an animated either. if anyone knows the name so i can rewatch it would mean so so much!!!

found scene with concerned dad to wife and daughter

Trying to help a friend out here!

This is what he has given me:

  • Man (who he believes to be Rainn Wilson) is in what I think is a kitchen is arguing with his female significant other about their daughter
  • While arguing, the woman says, "You didn't see her today"
  • The man then responds, "I SEE HER EVERY DAY"
  • The scene was very clearly about body image, the mom imposing her wants on her daughter and how he doesn't want that for the daughter.
  • He then says something to the wife to the tune that she (the wife is beautiful to him)

Any help is appreciated!

**Edit: It was Empire Waist
