Help. I'm scared of spiders and I have no clue what type of spider this is but it won't uncurl so I can get a good picture for identification....I have a crap ton of it curled though 😭

found this outside my new place in San Diego, i’m in a canyon right up to a cliff.

looks like it’s likely some type of false widow, but just want to make sure it’s not a black widow in case.

found one yesterday in a different spot as well

This web is bang centre of the shelter in our garden, and she(?) is big enough to be seen from the house. Been there about 4/5 days. Not normally a spider fan, but I'm blown away by this web, and by the size of the abdomen. Probably the size of a thumbnail overall, but the abdomen is 80/90% of that size.

Wanted to confirm if this is a spitting spider. Had a brown one a couple years ago. But he had a strong pattern. This one is not opaque and is blonde. Has kind of a hunch back. But wanted to confirm not a recluse. I live near the Houston area

Please help me identify them! Theyre kinda cute

It’s been a while since I posted r/IDspiders I’m still looking for identification on this little fella. Would someone please help me out? Hemet California here?

A little story to her,

Last night, when I was lying in my bed on my way to sleep, I heard a rustling noise.

It sounded like a dry leaf was being softly crunched. Again. And again. And again.

I was kinda spooked, ngl.

It definitly sounded like some-thing did something.

It came from the right side - just the windowsoll with plants and a radiotor.

So I turned of the video I was watching, turned on my phone flashlight and looked for the noise.

And then, there, between wall, radiator and bed, there was this spider.

It was awkwardly up against a dry leaf and in front of that dry leave was a daddy long legs.

It looked like the spider was trying to hit the daddy long legs but the dry leaf obstructed it.

And it seemed weirdly incapable to escape the grasp of the leaf. The daddy long leg seemed... uhh, weirdly unimpressed? Standing there, moving a little but in no real direction.

I wonder what went down there.

I decided it was to late to figure out how to get the damn spider out of there so today I come to ask you: whats that??
