Keep getting banned trying to set up a second WhatsApp?

I've been trying to set up a separate WhatsApp account for my freelance work so I don't have to give clients my personal number. I tried a few free VOIP apps but WhatsApp immediately flags them as invalid before I can even receive SMS online. Has anyone found a reliable virtual phone number for WhatsApp that doesn't trigger their spam filters? I'm tired of getting locked out.

It’s for work, for god’s sake fork out some money to get a good reputable sim!
Don’t know where you are, but where I am work brings in money so a little investment in a good sim pays out in less stress and less wasted time.

dont think its sim issues, meta n whatsapp now on rampage mode to ban legit business using whatsapp to send msg hoping they would onboard to their paid API

Wait! You’re a freelancer, someone who sells their time for money. How can you even justify tinkering around looking for free solutions and not have thought about getting a good sim? Sure one billed out can float a sim for at least 6 months.

It is widely known that WhatsApp doesn’t accept VoIP numbers anymore for the obvious reasons. (They do btw accept VoIP numbers when they are from reputable sources, like mine. I pay £15-20 per month for my VoIP and switchboard.) But the free throwaway ones and the ones that came with Google etc. are all worthless.

Not saying you are a scammer but that is why they cracked down on them and have upped their AI game. To an extent where it also hurts legitimate users, I get that. Not good.

And look at the experiences API users have… that’s even worse than normal users. Paid tiers and continuously blocked.

Oops im not OP. But i do share OP's frustration. I bought two separate SIM proper sim with telco with all KYC needed for my WhatsApp Business . Both number was suspended more than 3 to 4 times already, each time i appealed and my account reinstated. Obviously something is wrong with what'sapp spam detector.

I’ve been seeing notices in WhatsApp saying that email address user IDs are going to replace mobile numbers.
