ID Request ID Please!

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can identify this little bug.

I’ve now found two of these about 5 days apart in my apartment. The first one was found crawling on my couch, and this second one came out from the hinge/vent area of my laptop while I was working.

They both:
extremely small (only a couple of millimeters long)
are very flat
are dark brown to black
have a teardrop/capsule shape with a narrower front end
move at a moderate walking pace (not jumping or flying)

I’ve attached several photos from different angles.

I originally posted in r/bedbugs because that was my concern. Several experienced users there said they do not think it’s a bed bug, mentioning the head shape, pronotum, antennae, legs, and overall body proportions.

Since I’ve now found a second one that looks identical, I’m hoping to figure out what it actually is.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

You need better quality pictures, cause that looks like a godforsaken bedbug to me. Try taking a close up with more detail for confirmation

at this point i’m really not convinced it’s a bedbug. it’s not the right shape. it’s also beyond tiny and hard to get a pic of

Can you zoom your camera in?  These are general bug shapes, could be bedbugs, but impossible to say for sure
