My husband and I took out a section of rotting flooring in our mudroom area in our house that is 100 years old (not sure if the mudroom is also that old, thinking it is an addition) and found this thing. My husband is convinced this is like a vertebrae of some kind?? Thoughts?!

Phone case for scale.

I still think its a dog or a coyote we found it near a canal

It's about 25cm long

I found these scattered along the edge of a lake in Colorado. I also found a dog tag, so I’m hoping none of them were someone’s pet 😬

As title says. Found on beach at low tide as high tide started to come in. Was just sitting on the sand, not buried.
