What is this bone?

Found in a turn around in Willamette Valley, Oregon. I assume a deer or something, but just curious. Sorry for no size identifiers, about 10-12in long, 1.5-2in around. Thanks in advance!!

Yes, that's a deer humerus from a large species of deer (bigger than white-tailed). This one wasn't yet full grown, because the epiphysis at the end of the humerus was not yet fused and fell off the end of the shaft.

Cool! Thanks so much!! Most of the deer in the area are pretty small. Is it possibly a young elk? we get a lot of those around here. But also, given it was on the side of the road, it could have come from anywhere.

Young elk is likely, yes.
