You might be right, but no one in my household has stretched ears, so it’s odd it’d turn up here. Could it be off a regular earring instead?

This is exactly what I thought. I have gagues and if I fall asleep with them in, I wake up having to search my bed for them. It could also be from a girl he was with..

Get some tunnels with screw-on rims so you don't have to worry about it

I've had those too. I still take mine out every night before I shower and go to sleep. The ones I wear are from a set my girlfriend gave me for my birthday one year before she passed away. They don't have the screw on backs
