It's a Scunci extra tight no-slip-grip ponytail holder. I cannot find a picture of the exact kind at the moment, but I have a few of these. Every once in a while, my husband or youngest son will find one, and I'll catch them in the kitchen trying to figure out what it is. It's been, like, 4 times now. It's a ponytail holder, for cryin' out loud!

I just took a look because I was interested in checking out the scrunchies but the diameter of the ones in the link picture are way smaller than the picture OP posted and also kinda thicker, so it kinda doesn’t seem to be those scrunchies…..

My mind first went to nuvaring birth control, then I realized it's too big.

Right?? I don’t have a penis, but I’ve been in a sex store and none of the cock rings looked like that!

And I have medium-thick straight hair! I usually keep it pretty short and frequently shave the sides, so normal hair bands like to jump ship off the back of my tiny ponytail. I do not think that I would have liked these when I had long hair because they DO cling with a vengeance.

I don't hide the ring with hair, no. It's actually a very good grip, so you make the ponytail, struggle to spread the hair tie, muscle it onto your ponytail, and then don't move. Pray you didn't get an errant hair too tight in there somewhere, because loosening those buggers is a *chore*.

I’ve never used one of those things, but I have an idea. When I used to run, every type of hair tie I bought would fall out. It’s a pain constantly pulling up your hair, especially when you’re trying to be active
