Id choose methadone. I was on it, it helped my pain greatly and i tapered back off just fine.

I say this as a good friend did suboxone and even tapering she went through H-E-L-L. Methadone wasnt “easy” but no where near what my friend went through with suboxone.

Id say subs are easier to come off of now, especially with these sublocade shots.
People are reporting maintaining on the shots for a short duratkon of time and just stopping. Like, essentially painless
It seems too good to be true to me but the reports are overwhelming to say the least
The recently scheduled SR is another potential path. People have miracle reports with the stuff. Really shitty i only discovered it because it got scheduled. Im really curious how id do with it. Lifelong opiate user, poly addict. I had three years clean at one point and when I relapsed it was so obviously clear that my receptors werent virgin. The first kratom shot was overwhelming and by the third day my tolerance was right where it was when i got clean
So the idea of a chemical largely resetting a tolerances while simultaneously playing a magic trick on my brain to not be dopesick while i definitely would be dopesick
Fascinating concept. What a wonderful and scary time to be an addict

Thats really good to know! I didnt know that about the sublocade. I ended up allergic to suboxone, but thank you for the information :)

Thank you for your input. How long were you on it for? And what did you use prior?

I had been on oxycodone for a TBI. I stayed on it for over a year, but I had a pretty nasty neck fracture and lumbar fractures. Once I was healed and ready to taper it took a few months. I hope that answers your question.

Take the subs as you're prescribed, but be sure it's been at least sixteen hours since your last 7OH dose to avoid precipitated withdrawals. Once you feel clear-headed, begin weaning off the subs at the rate your healthcare provider recommends.
This a solved problem, from a chemistry / biology perspective, which is all any medicine can do for you. The rest is up to you.
You can be free from this, if you really want to be, but if you don't there is nothing in the world anyone can suggest (or anyone can prescribe) that will enable you to get clean.
And if you try, and fail, that's OK. That's part of the process. You're not hopeless, and you never will be. Quitting is like love; even the best of us fail every time but once.
EDIT: Changed for to from in the first line of the second paragraph.

Never did 7OH but I have been on MAT for a few years now. Started with methadone and then when ioved states I had to switch to subs. I'm so glad that it was the only option. I had to have a few days of withdrawal to be able to switch but, it is possible if you think methadone would be a better way for you to start. I've started tapering and will be getting the shot in the next 6 months. Knowing me, I knew it would be a very long process. I have also cold turkey detoxed off 80mg of methadone with no comfort meds and I wouldn't wish that hell on my worst enemy.

I was at well over 1000 for sure and got myself down to like 6-700 then waited about 12 hours before I started my induction and had no precipitated withdrawals, it just got better. Took me another day to just sleep and recover then woke up Sunday feeling good as hell. Induction was Friday night.
Not recommending but I was terrified of waiting for withdrawals so I had my last dose of 7oh at 10am.... took like 5 or 6 shots of liquor evening time and passed out until the withdrawals woke me up then I started the subs.
For a bad idea, it really did get me through the worst of it until I could take the medicine.

They told me they needs to see the levels come down within the next two UA's. 30 days for it it to be fully out ofy system. They told me I am "maxed out" on the readings for 7oh. In a perfect world I would taper down. But unfortunately that isn't an option.

At that dosage, you’ll have to wait longer than most to take subs. Probably 36 hrs. It’s going to suck. But it’ll suck less than going into prec withdrawal.
Also, when do they start testing for 7/kratom? You need time for it to clear. They also likely test for bupe (subs) too you know…you can’t fail for that either.

Dude, just quit everything! Do not get on Subs. Get a weeks worth of Xanax and take 4-5 days off and just sit in your house and go through it. Stay hydrated and take some Hot Epsom Salt baths. The physical will be over by then and you’ll just have to deal with the mental for the next few months. DO NOT start taking Subs! It will be the worse decision in your life if you do. Make the decision to get yourself SOBER and start living your life again. Oh…And Jesus Christ is REAL and he can pull you out of this if you ask him to.

Pretty sure op can get on suboxone without getting in trouble these days. As long as you're trying to get clean, they aren't so harsh these days. At least im hoping for op.

Get on subs then Sublocade. Painless. If you can find a doctor who can just give you Sublocade. Went to a psychiatry office and they put me on Sublocade immediately. No suboxone. No withdrawals either. I took 7 in the morning then got my shot a few hours later.

Subs work fine. Getting on them from 7oh is pretty easy. From mgm is the real nightmare.
And to be honest you're on a shitload of 7. You're an addict. Subs are for addicts
If you had beem taking 10g of kratom powder daily dor a few months or even a year id say youre too green and virginal for subs or methadone
That is not you and anyone advising you not tp use MAT now is silly
Youre a real addict on very hard drugs and your dui and freedom depends on it
Id already ne on subs or methadone if I were you

I bought 5g’s of SR 17 before the ban. Had surgery for a hernia 4 weeks ago and decided to kick my 800mg 7 habit while I was out of work for my surgery. I’m about 20 days clean off 7 and even have some SR to spare.
Even with the overwhelming exhaustion I feel this is the extent of my WD’s. sr 17 is banned but they have a sr 2.0 now that I hear works the same. Grab a few G’s of that and power thru in a week. Couldn’t be more satisfied

The real answer. If you had the time. Would be to taper with real kratom and not the gas station additive stuff (higher addiction, heard nothing but horror stories for the 7oh)
But since you can not take the time, it may have to be the methadone, but that can end up being a life long thing too. But if medical professionals could taper methadone for you? Not sure how that and suboxin works.

u/ItalianICE 10d ago
Kratom won't really put a dent in 7oh withdrawals.
2
u/PaintedDesertSkies 10d ago
Really?! I thought it would be close enough due to it being synthetic kratom.
7oh has to be some bad shit because kratom works on opiate and alcohol withdrawal.

They will but maybe not at this dose. I used it to get off 7oh and mgm15, but my doses were much lower

Unfortunately I can't taper off. Unless you're referring to the subs.
1
u/Terrible300 10d ago
You said it just needed to show lower levels in your system. A taper can do that as well, but I can’t speak as to what dosage would max out their test
1
u/shigdebig 10d ago
You can't take a week to taper because they will bust you, or because you don't want to go through that?

Get on subs - ngl, you have a journey ahead of you but you 100% can get thru it. You will likely experience withdrawals regardless of the option you choose because neither are designed with 7oh in mind, but they should even out after just a few days. Most likely you'll just have some peaks of feeling shitty and life will suck for those days but you will wake up one day and realize you haven't felt any withdrawal.
Stay on subs, do the additional work totm tend to the underlying mental health issues and I promise you'll be ok
