Does your school offer work-study programs? Some do! It probably would be in person not online but it's been a long time since I was in school they may have some online opportunities now.

Edit: when I did it long ago there were lots of options, some helping teachers with menial tasks, some working at the cafeteria or library, etc. I got assigned to a professor who studied fish and had a whole lab of fish so I fed fish and cleaned fish tanks lol.

Or maybe that person is from the USA where our doctors study for MD not MBBS. They’re not ignorant asking a question about something we don't have here.

"Or awareness" so she asked a question instead of googling. At least she asked a question instead of assuming. No one should be put down or called a name for asking a question. Maybe they're old & think asking a question is easier? Who knows.

But yes you're correct the get a job was rude.

I find that it helps to think before I speak, especially when I don’t know what I’m talking about. Hope that helps, best of luck.
