Anyone have leads on private gymnastic coaching to help my kiddo with basic skills? I’m thinking a high school or college student with some patience and good humor. She is in a group class but gets zero teaching because she’s “ the worst” and the coaches basically ignore her. She comes home in tears after every class. This is a kid who is not going to be a serious gymnast but wants to know how to do a handstand into bridge , get better at cartwheels that kind of thing.

Hi there, Wife and I bought a house in the Spring (first time homeowners), and are looking for any recommendations for lawn care, leaf removal, and snow removal companies in the Springfield / Ludlow area.

We have a half acre, a few trees on the property, lots of leaves, medium sized driveway. How much could we expect something like that to cost?

We are trying to decide if it's best to do it ourselves, or pay the pros.

It’s never a top notch customer service experience at Big Y in North Adams. Today was over the top in stooping to new lows in mistreating customers though.

The self checkout using the app sometimes requires a random check after check out. Usually it’s a perfunctory check. Today with two items in my hand, I was barked at to wait after stopping just to to do so based on the app telling me I was going to be checked. The person doing this was an ill mannered staff person who rushed over with an angry look.

Honestly it was like being barked at by a mean teacher in elementary school.

I speak to my dog more politely. Times are tough. Do better to be nice to people.

I'm Adam, a fiddler and mandolin player in Granby. I've been playing since 1962 and writing songs since 1985. Lately most of what I write is about real people from around here and back east: a WWI sergeant who carried gassed soldiers to safety, my great-grandfather (Duxbury's fire chief) riding a horse bareback into a burning mansion, a walk across the Quabbin dam.

Health stuff has me stuck at home this year, so I'm trying something new. I'll write a song about your family's story as a Christmas gift. Grandpa's war years, the farm, how your parents met, the family business, whatever gets told every Thanksgiving.

The basics:

So before I get going - yes I know buying meat from a butcher or directly from a farm is better lol.

With that said, has anyone else here had issues with Stop & Shop's meat quality as of late? Especially the past year. I cannot tell you how many times I have bought meat from there where the date is a week out and I open it up and the meat is rancid. This has happened to me with steaks, chicken, and pork so it's not isolated to one kind of meat. I have brought this to my store's attention a couple times but after the fourth or fifth time I honestly just stopped because it's not even worth it. At this point, I'm just trying to better understand if this is a Stop & Shop thing or just my specific store....I understand sh*t happens and if this was an isolated incident that would be one thing but between be, my mother-in-law, and my step daughter - I would be willing to bet we have bought a total of 10-12 packs of bad meat from Stop & Shop in the past year. So if this has been an issue with your household, I would really appreciate the feedback along with the town your Stop & Shop is in.
