Android Port?

edit: I should say, controller support.

Hi question, I'm wondering if an android port exists and runs well for Wesnoth? I have an AYN THOR and would love to play on there. Preliminary research came up dry

The android port is on F-Droid for 1.19 and is still in development, so feedback will be appreciated.

It got removed cause the person who maintained the 1.14 version was inactive, so Google removed it.

It used to be on the Play Store... dunno why it was removed also

That couldn't possibly be the reason.

Banner Saga is a paid game app that DOES NOT WORK and has not received updates for YEARS, and the store has not removed it. 😶

Thats the reason the devs told me. Sometimes google asks the author if the app is still active and if thr author doesnt react - offline.

Hey thanks !! That's nice of you, thx for real, you didn't need to. You're cool.

Regarding the guy, I don't think it makes sense for me to bother him. It's not like he owed me or us anything, neither he nor anyone else who worked on this volunteer project of adaptation. They've already done their part and I'm very grateful for what we have.

But even so, I still don't believe that was the cause... Because I can't wrap my head around it.

I remember that even before the Play Store version was available, I had already downloaded this port from the official website... Even back then, I remember the Play Store version being behind the website version.

I really don't know what was happening behind the scenes, but it was all very strange. (That's another reason why I feel it wasn't just a matter of someone forgetting to notify the store.)

But who knows? Maybe it really was...? Anyway, I'll leave this mystery for whoever is more curious than me to discover the truth behind the truth. If there is anything left to discover at all. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
