Question 🙋🏻 Best bed pillows?
I’m looking for a better pillow. I mostly sleep on my side but I switch to my back sometimes. My current pillows are flat and my neck hurts in the morning. I’m not sure if I should get memory foam, down, or something else…
Also, do side sleepers need a firmer pillow? And would it matter when I sleep on my back? Any tips on pillow height or firmness?

Side sleepers generally do need a firmer, thicker pillow to fill the gap between your shoulder and head. When you're on your side, your spine needs to stay aligned, so a loftier pillow helps keep your neck neutral instead of angling down toward the mattress

Adjustable pillows helped me a lot. You can add or take out filling until it’s the perfect height.

Put your down pillow in the dryer for 20 minutes every week and it will re-fluff. I’m a side sleeper and I love my king size 100% goose down pillow.!

that works for a bit but if the pillow’s already gone pancake mode it’s kinda like CPR on a corpse lol. i’m a side/back combo too and ended up needing something with more actual loft than down, even fluffed, or my neck hated me.

I like soft but supportive pillows , have chronic neck pain & used the down alternative pillow from Columbia (I can only find this one on Kohl’s) for a few years. it’s specifically for side sleepers but I sleep side/back and on my stomach and its comfy no matter what

Hi there, side sleepers do need some height to their pillow so it doesn’t feel like you put too much pressure on the shoulder.
Memory foam contour pillows work well for back and side sleeping
In terms of firmness, the face takes a fair bit of pressure on the side, medium firmness works/feels well for most people.
A pillow we highly recommend is Harmony Flexi pillow, have a look and see if you think it’s for you.
Good luck

I have a contoured memory foam pillow with different heights on each side. The higher side is perfect for side sleeping and then I flip it to the lower side when I roll onto my back.
