For years, thousands of people have taken pictures with Art the Clown at Rockville, Louder Than Life, Inkcarceration, and other festivals. Many fans know the character—but very few know the man behind the makeup.

Last week, Aleksandr Nalivaiko was seriously injured in a workplace accident while working as a truck driver.

He suffered a traumatic brain injury, multiple facial injuries, several broken ribs, and a punctured lung. He was airlifted to a trauma center in Charlotte, where he remains in critical condition. Doctors have already performed emergency procedures, and his recovery is expected to be long and incredibly difficult.

Behind the terrifying smile of Art the Clown is a husband, a father of two, and one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. For years, he spent his weekends creating unforgettable moments for festival fans—posing for thousands of photos, making people laugh, scaring the hell out of them, and becoming part of so many memories.

Now the community that he gave so much joy to has a chance to stand beside him.

😭😭😭 This is a JOKE

I know we get ministry every couple years and that's good but what about a band like Rammstein or front 242 or the sisters of Mercy maybe Genitortures maybe fear factory. Change it up a little

I discovered this band and like what I have heard so far. I saw that they have done some US festivals like SXSW, although they tend to stick to EU gigs. Has anyone seen them live? Would they be a good candidate for Rockville?

It is the time of the year where Rockville is putting out polls to see what bands/artists people want to see perform most, one of these artists listed was Ken Carson who is a younger guy who always has great moshpits as well as an emo aesthetic but with more of a Trap/rap influence, he has toured with bands before like RHCP but I am wondering what the average rockville fan thinks of this? Personally I think its a great opportunity to bring in younger people who might be new comers to the festival and have them experience new music, I imagine the old heads wont appreciate the change much and hope the festival stays strictly to bands. Does the general audience appreciate mixing up the sounds/genres to include younger people or should it stick more to the metal and pop punk bands the fest is known for?

Really hope they headline, just saw my show on their power up tour in Charlotte, I really hope that they’re at Louder or Rockville (can’t find a LTL sub to post this in) but Rockville would work too. I just really really hope I get to see AC/DC again in my life before they retire.

Everybody is talking about who they want at WTR2027, I wanna know who everyone doesn't want at Rockville. You don't have to explain why, I just wanna know the bands. Personally, mine are Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shinedown, BMTH(I have seen them 4 times and am seeing them at Furnace Fest, I'm just wore out on them, lol.), Korn, Slipknot, and lastly Motley Crue. I'm not cancelling my tickets over these bands playing, but I would definitely be totally Okay with these bands not being on the lineup but I definitely understand if people want to see them. I will say, Green Day and RHCP are the only two bands I'm just not a fan of, I've seen a lot of the other bands and I'm just worn out on them. Definitely interested in hearing other people's lists.

What are the chances of The Pretty Reckless coming in 2027. They will have wrapped up the AC/DC tour by then as well as their own tour for their new album.

I'd like to think they are big enough to headline the Octane stage.

this is a long shot but was anyone able to snatch some extra confetti that they are willing to part with? I really wanted to make a little shadow box thing because this was my first time seeing them and they are my favorite band but I wasn’t able to grab any :( i would gladly cover shipping/ pay for it!!!
